The Wall Between Us | Miraculous Ladybug FF

*Marinette POV*

After my date with Luka, we went to my house. But the truth is, I wouldn't have started dating Luka in the first place. I'll tell you why...

FLASHBACK

"Go girl! You can do it!" Alya, Rose, Mylene, and Juleka said in unison. I was going to confess to Adrien.

I went up to Adrien and I forced myself not to stutter.

"Adrien, I have something to tell you."

"Ok! What's up Mari?"

"I- Umm," I paused. "I've liked you for the longest time. I used to hate you in the beginning because I thought you were evil like Chloé, but then I saw your good traits. I fell for you and well, I hope you can return my feelings."

"I... Didn't expect that. Well, I'm truely sorry. I have feelings for another girl. But I know that you can find better people than me!" He finished and then smiled.

I stood in shock. I expected that. How could a rich boy like him love a girl like... Me?

When I snapped out of whatever I was in, then I simply nodded and ran away. Once I was far enough from my friends and from Adrien, I sat on a bench to cry. I cried and cried for like 15 minutes. The good thing is that I didn't see a black butterfly. What I did see, was a Parisian in danger.

I hid in an alleyway and transformed. I hope that nobody saw me. I saved the Parisian in danger then went back to the park as Marinette to cry. After a good 5 minutes, I went back home.

I think Luka saw me because a few minutes after I arrived home, Luka knocked on my bedroom door. I quickly took down all of my posters and let him in.

"Hey Marinette, I saw that you were crying. Is everything alright?" He said calmly.

"No Luka, nothing is alright!" I stood up. "If you were to confess to the love of your life that you've loved for 2 years? You'd never understand."

"Oh. If you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm always here for you." Luka said, remaining calm.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you Luka. I'm just confused, mad, and sad." We cuddled until 5 pm and watched some TV. Then he said something that really shocked me.

"Marinette, remember what I said 2 years ago?" I nodded. "I feel the same way, because you're as clear as a musical note, as sincere as a melody. You're the music that's been playing in my head since the day we first met. Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I stood in shock once again. I just got rejected by my 1st choice, but now my 2md option wants to date me?!

"Sure, I need to distract my mind off things, and dating you is what I need." He pulled me close followed by a passionate kiss. I opened my eyes for a second to see if he had his eyes shut. He did. I also spotted Chat Noir with a rose in the corner of my eye. Screw him, I have a boyfriend now.

*Adrien POV*

I remember it clearly. After Marinette left the alleyway as Ladybug, I went home. I gathered all my thoughts and a rose, and as I was about to transform into Chat Noir, my father walked in. I sadly took piano lessons with him for around 3 hours. I went to Marinette's place as Chat Noir.

I found them... Kissing. I found Marinette and Luka kissing. If only I had known sooner. If only I had said yes that day to her confession, we would be happy together. If only Luka weren't be a wall between us.
