When we Locked Eyes

Chapter 1 First Day

   Hinata finishes off his first day of school and heads to the gym where he finds his rival, Kageyama, practicing volleyball.

Hinata's POV

"Why are YOU here?" I stumble back, surprised to see The King of The Court in my presence... Again.

"You're that guy from last year. I don't know your name"

"M-My name is Shoyo Hinata and I'm sure you don't remember who I am! You beat me in a game!" How did he forget my name? He forgot his rivals name? I was supposed to be able to challenge him again and win but he's gonna be my teammate?! I can't process this...

"I remember exactly who you are" He doesn't say that while looking me in the eyes but he sounds so stern... Well, he ALWAYS sounds like that. He's the king and y'know he's used to being in charge.

He stood there looking spaced out. "What's with the silent treatment, huh? You wanna fight?"  I manage to yell out to him.

"Shut up!" Jeez why is he so mean?

"I know I got clobbered in our last game and I came here to get revenge and now I see you're on the same team as me? How am I supposed to beat you now? Why did you come here of all places? There are so many other better places!" I start blurting out words and they seem to make a sentence. For the first time I wasn't speaking actual nonsense.

"I applied to the best school in the prefecture... and didn't get in"

"You didn't get in? But you're the King how come you didn't get in?" Hah the king actually got turned down. Maybe he isn't all that great after all.

"Don't call me the king..." I thought he liked the name king? People with their ego as big as the sun definitely would like that name and I guess his ego is almost that big. His ego is still out of this world.

After Hinata and Kageyama go back and forth, Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka appear. What happens with the VP happened and Daichi shoved 'em out telling them to work together. When they do they meet Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. Practice match happens and they're in!

Talking with the team

"What do you mean the Guardian of Karasuno is coming tomorrow? We have a guardian?! Wow I can't wait to meet him! Why hasn't he been here from the start?"

"He was suspended for a week and banned from club activities for a month"

He's a delinquent?!

"Before you think he's a trouble maker delinquent he's not, something happened with him and the VP." Did Suga just read my mind?

"Oh okay"

The bell rings and it's time to leave.

"What's this guardian even like?" I say while staring at my ceiling. I start to imagine a tall 6'5 guy with big muscles and a scary aura coming from him, scarier than Kageyama. I went to sleep as fast as I could so it didn't keep me up all night. 

The next day

I see the king practicing.  He's about to hit the water bottle, not on my watch! I swoop in trying to receive the ball but it ends up failing and going up to the second part of the gym. The king hits another that's going to hit the water bottle so I went to go find my ball when someone slides in really fast and perfectly receives it.

"Who are you?" Really who is he? What's he doing here?

"Well I'm the famous Yuu Nishinoya of course! Who else could I be?"

Then we lock lock eyes... His eyes seem bright with a good future. I'd be nice if you could see the characters who play in his future. His eyes shine when they see me. I seem at a loss for words but then see something about him that surprises me.

"Wait something doesn't seem right here... Are you shorter than me?!"

"Hey! Only by a little bit!"

"He's the Libero for Karasuno" Daichi pops out of nowhere and I almost peed my pants. Where the heck did he come from?

"Libero? Don't they do defense and stuff?"

"Yea and I'm pretty damn good at it!" He points to himself with a smile. I thought it was cute... Wait no! I like girls, why would I think his smile is cute?!

"He's the guardian of Karasuno" Wait THAT'S the guardian?! He's shorter than me!

"Guardian? Oh Daichi you're too nice!" The guardian jumps into his arms giving him a big hug. Oh what I wouldn't give for his touch... No! Get these thoughts out of my head! What's wrong with me?! "I don't deserve that nickname Daichi"

I turn bright red thinking more things I didn't want to and before anyone sees me, I'm saved. It's the end of practice and I quickly change and grab my stuff. I see the guardian, Nishinoya, get slapped by our manager, Kiyoko, and instead of being sad or hurt he was... happy? Whatever I needed to leave. The more I saw him the more I thought about him. I got home and plopped down in my bed after a good shower.

"He was not what I expected him to be. But what's wrong with me today? I-I... I l-like..." I tried saying I like girls but the word won't come out. "I like boys!" I cover my mouth in disbelief on what I just said. I don't like boys, at least I don't think I do...

Omg It's 3:40 am and I just finished this and I'm kinda proud of it

Lord Asahi I hope you guys like this really short chapter and I'll update it when I can. I suck at writing and stuff so if the plot sucks then like I'm sorry. I'm a multishipper and I do ship these two but for my followers I will post fanfics of people I don't ship together (AS LONG AS THEY'RE LEGAL) so I can make you guys happy :). Welp this is long and I wanna sleep but I can't so I'm gonna go watch sad movies and cry.
