oi. Ares Banks had an interesting past. Born and raised in South Crenshaw to the age of 9, Ares had to leave her friends behind after the murder of her mother.
ii. Ares' mother had been strangled to death and Nia Richardson at the age of 35 lost her life due to domestic violence. Her father was dead, had been for the last 6 years of her life, so with nowhere left to turn she entered the system.
iii. Fortunately for her, it didn't take long for a rich white man looking for brownie points to up his status. Nothing is more heart warming then adopting a little black girl with a tragic past.
iv. For the next 7 years of her life she lived in Beverly Hill, where the rich and famous roamed. Beverly hills high school, school full of snoby kids who wouldn't know what struggle was if it slapped the in the face. Ares felt alone- with no one to relate to and always used as the token friend, she dosen't mind when an old friend enters her world.
