The following is PetalClan's version of the Warrior Code.
ONE
Once having passed the mark of two moons, a leader with kits must temporarily or permanently resign their leadership to the acting deputy.
- If they choose to temporarily resign, they are resigned until their kits are three moons old.
- When the leader is temporarily resigned, the acting deputy keeps their chosen name and acts as leader until,
A. The leader permanently resigns, and the deputy becomes a full leader in their place.
B. The leader's kits have reached the three moon mark, and the leader retakes their position.
C. The leader dies during the break, and the deputy becomes a full leader in their place.
If the outcome is something different then the current leadership figures must discuss the best course of action.
- If the leader's mate is with kits, they may also take a break, but the same rules apply.
TWO
All queens that die receive a special burial. There are no exceptions to this.
THREE
Any and all visiting tribe members from the Tribe of Setting Suns are welcome. They must, however, be accompanied by White Bear or a descendant of her. They must also hunt, and if need be, fight for PetalClan during their stay.
FOUR
Upon becoming a leader, the leader must go and hunt for the Clan all of the following night.
- If the leader is found sleeping, missing, or dead at dawn, they are removed from leadership and the leadership is offered to the next cat most suited for leadership as elected by the other leadership figures.
