Nmjin

Chap 3

He knew that he was going overboard, but the older male would just smile and blush so prettily that before he realized what he was doing he ended up ordering a dozen more to arrive at Seokjin’s desk the next morning. This continuing for weeks before that transformed into expensive chocolates and presents, and he was pretty much wooing the older male at this point but he didn’t care because he would always get that shy smile in return and he was a desperate man.

It all came to a head though when one day he saw someone else standing at Seokjin’s desk. Someone tall, muscular, a chiseled jaw and bunny grin, impeccably handsome, laughing and smiling at the older as if they had known each other forever. It was clear that they were familiar with each other, and Namjoon’s heart sunk.

He couldn’t compete with that.

Not with a living Adonis.

Heart falling into the pit of his stomach he turned away before Seokjin could see him, at least that’s what he had thought, another dozen roses in his shaking hands when there was a hand on his shoulder turning him around. “Hey Joonie, where are you going, I would like you to meet my cousin Jungkook, he is starting here today. Don’t let the smile fool you though, he is a brat, but a loveable one.”

Cousin.

A large breath of relief left his mouth before he could stop it and Jungkook started laughing as he walked up to them, “So this is the Namjoon you’ve been talking about?”

Namjoon raised his brows in shock, a wide smile spreading over his face at the prospect of Seokjin talking about him. “Almost didn’t think you were real.”

Seokjin smacked his arm, “YAH that’s enough out of you.”

Jungkook just cackled, “Almost thought you were some old man from how you keep buying him things.”

Seokjin coughed and Namjoon became flustered, stuttering and stumbling over his words and ending up tripping over a stray shoelace that had come undone and right into the olders waiting arms. Jungkook cackled once again, “I’ll take my leave, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“BRAT!”

He could still hear Jungkook laughing all the way to the elevator and he groaned, was he spoiling Seokjin a little too much? They weren’t even dating. He just couldn’t help it.

As he was stuck in his musings he didn’t realize that he was still in the olders arms until Seokjin cleared his throat and he was forced to look up into his eyes. A heavy blush dusted his cheeks and he was frozen in place as they stared at each other. “Are these for me?”

For a moment he was confused when he remembered that he had bought more roses for him on his way to work that morning and while they were now slightly crushed from his trip just a moment before he handed them to Seokjin with a flustered smile. “I-I-I bought these for you.”

Seokjin giggled and placed them down on his desk, “You know, you really do buy me lots of things.”

There was a pretty blush on the olders cheeks now and Namjoon swooned, “Y-You deserve it.”

He took a step closer to him and grabbed Namjoon’s hands with his own, “I don’t really feel like I do. I mean, I love all the gifts, you completely spoil me, but I don’t give you anything in return.”

Namjoon gulped, “You don’t have to give me anything Seokjin. You don’t owe me anything.” He meant that as well, he never did any of the things that he did in order to get something out of the other, he was head over heels for him and even if the older never returned his feelings he couldn’t help but spoil him because to Namjoon that is what he deserved.

“Do you like me Namjoon?”

Looking down at his shoes he nodded, “I like you a lot Hyung.”
