Libby stared at the blackboard in boredom, hiding another yawn behind her hand – or at least that was the plan, the yawn already escaped before she even thought of lifting up her hand. Ms. Gordon's lips were moving as she continued explaining Freud's theories, not even bothered that half of the class had dozed off and the other half was on the verge doing the same.

Staring out the window, hoping the sun would wake her up, Libby crossed eyes with a pair of golden ones. She blinked, hoping to look away but his gaze sucked her in. The corners of his lips twitched in a dimpled smile and the way his eyes twinkled made the butterflies in her stomach flutter around.

She couldn't understand what Leon saw in her – they had shared some classes over the years, even made some assignments together, so Libby never considered him a stranger but he wasn't a friend either. He was just that guy she knew from school. Hence her surprise when that guy suddenly started showing interest in her the last couple months.

Don't get her wrong, Leon Davis wasn't bad looking by any means. With his wavy strands of hair that begged to be stroked and not to mention his eyes matched with his killer smile that melted any girl on spot, it was safe to say that Leon was attractive. The fact that he was as beautiful on the inside as much as he was on the outside was the cherry on the pie.

Leon looked amused as he pointed at something next to Libby. She turned her head to see her best friend's head on her books, black hair splayed around with her right cheek squished against the surface. It was kinda adorable to see how Chloe had long given up the fight against sleep. Libby didn't blame her, Ms. Gordon's voice could even put a hyper two year old to sleep.

Watching her friend, Libby felt a prickling sensation running up her back. That feeling you get when someone's watching you, or when your instincts know something is wrong. It wasn't a nice feeling and Libby didn't get where it came from as she looked up to meet the same hazel eyes that had caught her attention only ten seconds ago. This time Leon didn't sport the ghost of a smile or that twinkle in his eyes. This time he was looking at her with something else and Libby frowned a bit in confusion. Was that ... guilt?

The butterflies in her stomach seemed to have ceased their fluttering and if almost felt as if they found a way to her back where they nipped and scratched, causing that prickling feeling down her spine. If Libby didn't know any better she would've thought that the butterflies were warning her.

The bell, signaling the end of their last period, seemed to have broken the spell and the two found themselves looking away from each other. Libby rubbed at her forehead trying to get rid of the weariness and frown. She nudged her friend, urging her to get a move on.

"Chloe, get up you lazy ass."

The dark haired girl moaned. "Five more minutes."

Libby rolled her eyes as she leaned closer to her friend. "School's over, Chloe."

The girl perked up at that and lifted herself up unwillingly. "I am so never going to binge watch any show ever again," she grumbled as she gathered her stuff in her arms, dragging her feet as she left the classroom. "This is all you fault Libby, why did you even tell me about it. You know how easily I get addicted. Once I start I can't stop. I went to bed at four o'clock in the morning. Four! I only slept two hours. Two!"

Libby led the way to their lockers and snorted. "Chloe don't you dare put the blame on me, I'm pretty sure I warned you. And didn't I tell you to wait until the weekend?"

Chloe let out a tired sigh as she rested her head against her locker, wincing when the impact was harder than she intended to. "Remember our plan in case of emergency?"
