Chapter 4

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Oswald slowly opened his eyes to see a white ceiling. His eyes widens dj he quickly sat up.

It was a hospital room.

He made it... somehow.

"Oswald!" Some yelled hugging him.

Oswald realized who it was and stiffened. It was his dad. His dad sobbed and cried while holding Oswald. He soon pulled away and gave him a tired smile.

"I'm so h-happy you're okay, p-please dont ever d-do that again.." his dad sobbed more

It took Oswald a while to realize what he was talking about.

Felix told his dad everything.

Shame washed over Oswald as he hung his head.

"Dad... I'm sorry." Oswald's face came slightly red as tears filled his eyes.

Oswald's dad gasps and hugs him again. "Don't be sorry... I'm the one that should be sorry for not being a good father, I'll be better for you."

A few tears feel down Oswald's face in joy. "Okay... I'll be better for you too."

The door was suddenly kicked open. "OZZY!!"

Oswald jumped slightly and pulled away from his dad.

It was Mickey.

Mickey ran up and jumped on to him, hugging him tightly. "I-IM SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!"

Oswald smiled and hugged back while patting Mickey's back. "I'm glad too-"

For a split second, Felix's face flashed through Oswald's mind.

Where was felix?

"O-ozzy what are you doing?!" Oswald's dad yelled Oswald Oswald got up off the bed.

Oswald winced at a pain in his leg, he looked down to realize it was wrapped in a cast.

Of course he was still injured.

Oswald quickly limped out the room, careful not to put too much weight on his leg.

Mickey and Oswald's dad followed close behind, worried for their son/brother.

Oswald limped up to the front desk, alerting the receptionist.

"W-where is f-felix the cat's r-room?" Oswald asked slightly in pain.

The receptionist slowly pointed over to a room that wasn't so far away. Oswald immediately limped over and opened the door.

Felix sat in the bed while looking out his opened window. The light coming through made him look beautiful. A small smile was plastered on the British cat's face.

Oswald stared in amazement. A small blush spreaded to Oswald's face.

".. Hey felix."

Felix's heart jolted. He slowly looked over to see Oswald with his injured leg.

"O-oh.. you might not want to be standing with that injury, you can sit if you want." Felix said looking away from him.

Oswald slowly walked over and sat in the chair next to his bed. Silence feel over the two.

Felix was very uncomfortable. He didnt know how to react to any of this. Why did Oswald come after him when they were in the river? Was he hallucinating when Oswald apologized?

And why was Oswald here right now?

Was he here to beat him up?

Lower him some more?

Or...

"Are you okay? Oswald asked, followed by felix jolting slightly.

"Y-yes, I'm f-fine, you d-didnt take t-the whole i-impact when we fell down the w-waterfall so thank y-you." Felix said still not looking at him.

Oswald noticed and frowned. 'Maybe I should leave him alone.'

"Okay, that's all I wanted to know."

Oswald leaves the room.

Oh but he knew there needed to be a change.

What if felix were to go and tell everyone at school about that happened? He would be bullied and talked about for the rest of the school year.

The only way to stop this from happening...

Was to befriend Felix.
