Unexpected lover

chapter 2

      Well I got after school detention because of being late to class. Great.
But strangely during class I found an unknown notebook in my pile of books . I recalled the time when I crashed into that familiar looking guy and he also dropped his books-

WAIT

ah shit I took his notebook.....

          * During lunch *

   I sat with Carol during lunch. It's actually kinda great because I don't need to worry of sitting alone awkwardly.

" Did you heard about the new student?"

" I heard he's really good in art"

" He's pretty cute"

" Hey Yvette I heard there's a new student in 11th grade" said Carol.
" So what, it's just a transfer student." I said. I don't get the hype about this
She then told me he's cute.

      Well our school doesn't have much cute guys, so it's like big deal to all the girls when the guy transfer student is cute.

"Personally, if  I want to think he's cute, he also needs to have a personality that I like because a cute guy with a jerk personality makes no difference " I said.

" Come on, don't burst my bubble we hadn't seen a cute guy in ages... " Said Carol.

    By the way, I told Carol about the guy that I bumped into earlier and showed her his notebook that I accidentally took.

     Carol then snatched the notebook and flipped the pages before I could even snatch it back.

We were both shocked with the amazing drawings in the notebook.

" Damn girl this guy is really good at drawing" said Carol.

I have a really uneasy feeling about this. Im having my fingers crossed that I'll make it out of school today alive.

But at this point I don't know if I should pay him for drawing lessons or apologize to him first.

I saw the name written on the notebook, so his name must be Joseph Carson.

I went to find my guy friend Dan who is also in 11th grade. We're friends so I think he could help me to give back this notebook to that Joseph guy plus the apology note and the cupcake that I brought to school today. I hope Joseph could forgive me and we'll not cross paths ever again.

"Hey Dan, could you please give this to a guy in your grade named Joseph Carson?"

" Wait, you meant the new guy?"

Well I either think my prayers have not been heard or life is a joke for me.

" Yeah, I accidentally bumped into him earlier and I ran straight to my class without apologizing because I'm late. But I accidently took his notebook."

" Ah sure thing " said Dan.

Well lucky for me I finished my lunch early and went straight to find Dan to help give Joseph his notebook.

Yes I know this is really insincere but I'm kinda shy and scared that he'll get mad for the incident earlier.

After school I stayed in detention. Well, there goes my time for an afternoon nap.

" Can't believe I got detention on the first day of class, ugh!" I said inside of my head.

I walked to the classroom that we're supposed to have detention in.

COINCIDENTALLY,THE NEW GUY IS THERE TOO.

I can feel someone staring at me... I'm scared because Carol already went home. I sat much further away from the new guy Joseph to avoid awkwardness, but somehow the teacher wanted me to sit right next to the new guy so she can keep an eye on us.

I'm sweating bullets because I'm hella uncomfortable. I tried finding a book in my bag to read but all I have is my textbooks... Well i started reading comics on my phone.

    I still sense someone staring at me, and I looked at Joseph, he's staring at me all along. He's just staring, no facial expression, no nothing.

" W-why are you staring at me?" I asked suspiciously.

" You bumped into me, and DID NOT apologize to me, you even stared at me, you're weird ." He said.

Deep down I'm really offended and hurt by what he said, but I have to admit he's right tho, so I managed to tell him about giving back his notebook, an apology note and my delicious cupcake as an apology.

" I don't like sweets, so I threw away the cupcake. Plus I think YOU SHOULD APOLOGIZE IN PERSON because that apology note doesn't  look too sincere to me..." He said while glaring at me.

At this point I'm really mad and want to slap him because he's mean, but I managed to keep my cool and tried apologizing to him sarcastically.

* Uses sweet voice**

" I'm really sorry for bumping into you this morning because you're blocking my way and can't dodge to save your life." I said while batting my eyelashes.

He looks stunned for some reason, don't know why.

He then finally stopped staring at me and does his homework.

After detention, I went to Yuki's cafe to get a mocha latte and Oreo cheesecake to cheer myself up. How dare that jerk threw away my cupcake that I sacrificed for some apology.

I love their matcha latte and cheesecakes there. Even though it's abit pricey but it's totally worth it.
