I open my eyes with my head on Romeo's shoulder and my legs slung over his lap. His hand is on my ankle and his quiet breaths are even. I try not to wake him as I reach for the remote to turn the TV off, but fail. He lifts his hand off my ankle, making it cold, as he pushes my legs off of his lap.
He coughs, "I'm uh, gonna go do some work. You should get to sleep". I grab my phone and check the time, 01:44. Wow, how many movies did we watch?
I hear Romeo's office door close. Does he not sleep?
Quietly, I make my way up to my room and collapse on the bed. I grab my phone and text Hayden and Hayley.
Morgan: hello
Hayden: Hi?
Hayley: wow, glad to see you remember us. thought you'd be too busy spending time with romeo freaking mazzaro
I chuckle at how overly dramatic she is.
Morgan: hayley, it's only been like a day since i texted you last
Hayden: Why are you guys awake anyway?
Morgan: why are you awake?
Hayley: he's with his girlfriend!
