𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗬 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔 𝗙𝗘𝗪 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗, 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗚𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡. The two girls waited, sipping on martinis and eating god knows how many green olives before Serena finally showed up. The atmosphere was tense, especially considering the fact that Blair could not stop shooting the blonde daggers. "Get on with it Van Der Woodsen." She spat out, clearly not amused to be there.

"Well hello to you too, B." Serena greeted, setting her Louis Vuitton handbag down on the bar and ordering a martini for herself.

"Don't call me that." Blair snapped. "You said you wanted to talk, so talk."

Florence watched them, waiting at any moment to play peacemaker between the two. Although she would choose Blair's side any day, she didn't exactly want two teenage girls attacking each other at a fancy hotel. If anything, she kept her eyes more on Blair, knowing that the brunette was a lot more vengeful and violent than Serena.

The three sat in silence. For a second, Florence felt out of place and regretted her decision in coming, however there was no going back now. Serena was the first to start up a conversation. Blair answered her questions nicely to a certain extent, however only after Flo jabbed her elbow into the girl's side.
As the rather awkward conversation droned on, Florence got distracted by a boy standing at the other end of the bar. His back was facing the trio, however is broad shoulders and messy golden hair gave him away. She watched as he walked away further into the hotel and out of her vision. Florence raised an eyebrow, turning to look at her two best friends. "I'll be right back." She excused herself. The other two girls paid her no mind as they were too busy talking things out. Although Florence was suppose to be included in that conversation, she didn't really care as much as Blair did. Serena did nothing to her besides disappear for a year without telling anyone. As for Blair however, Serena betrayed her to an extent.

The girl got up from the table, walking towards the direction in which the boy went. She struggled to find him through the crowd, however when she finally laid her eyes on his figure, her breath hitched in her throat. There was never a time when Nate Archibald didn't look his very best. Florence swallowed hard, blinking a bit to get the fluttery feeling in her stomach to go away. Her mind was telling her to ignore his presence and go back to the table, however it was far too late. She now stood behind the boy, her hand reaching out to tap his back. In one swift movement, Nate turned around, smiling as soon as he caught sight of who it was.

"Flo!" He greeted. One of his arms wrapped around the smaller girl's shoulder, pulling her in for a hug.

Florence hugged back, taking in the older boy's scent. He smelled of expensive cologne, but it was soothing and quite attracting as well. "Hey Nate!" She greeted back, finally pulling away from his grasp. "What are you doing here? I thought Blair and I were suppose to meet you and Chuck later." She asked, tilting her head a bit in confusion.

"Oh yeah well, Chuck grew impatient and didn't feel like waiting."

Florence chuckled, rolling her eyes a bit. "Sounds like him."

Nate laughed with her, taking a sip of his alcoholic beverage. "Want some?" He asked, holding the cup out for the girl to take.

Florence shrugged grabbing onto it and taking a sip. Although she had a martini waiting for her back at the table, the young Bass had never been one for light, mixed drinks. She liked her alcohol hard and straight.

"Woah, okay." Nate said, suddenly taking his drink back. "Slow down there before you get wasted." He joked.

Flo bit at her lip, muttering an apology. She was stressed, partly because of her feelings towards Nate, but also because of the whole Serena situation. For a second, she regretted leaving the blonde and brunette alone. She could only cross her fingers that the two had not ripped each other's throats out by now.

"You good?" The boy asked, noticing her changed of demeanor.

Snapping back into reality, Florence nodded with a smile. "Yeah. Just the girls, you know."

A look of realization took over Nate's face. "Oh yeah. How's that going? Everything okay?"

"Eh. Kind of, I guess." Florence said, suddenly losing interest in the conversation. Although it seemed selfish, for once she would rather have Nathaniel focus on her rather than her two best friends. "Serena's trying to rekindle her friendship with Blair, but I don't think she's having any of it."

Nate nodded, taking in the information. "She'll come around. You three have been best friends since practically birth. It will always be S, B, and Flo." He reassured.

Florence shot him a genuine smile. She glanced behind him, noticing Chuck walking in the direction of the two. She widened her eyes a bit. As much as she didn't want to, the girl had to leave before her brother could approach her and Nate. The last thing she wanted was for him to embarrass her infront of her crush, or worse, hint that she liked him. "Hey Nate." She started. "It was nice seeing you, but I have to get back. See you later though?"

"Definitely." Nate answered. "Good luck." He said, watching the girl walk off.

When Florence arrived back to her seat at the table, the tension seemed to be cut. Serena and Blair both beamed at the girl, wide smiles on their faces. "Oh thank god." Flo said dramatically. "I thought I was going to have to plan a funeral." Her best friends laughed, pulling the Bass girl in for a group hug. Serena playfully kissed her head and Blair leaned into her petite figure. "Best friends forever?" Florence asked.

"Best friends forever." The other two responded.

Looks like the infamous golden trio has rekindled their friendship,

     but how long will it last until it goes to shit and all hell breaks loose?
