Peter has never been a lucky kid. In fact, he was so unlucky that it might aswell be a talent.
His parents passed away in an unfortunate place crash when he was no older than 7. His uncle was shot in front of him when he was only 12 and soon after his aunt passed, not being able to handle the pain of any more loss.
Peter Parker had, what he liked to refer to, as Parker Luck.
"Tony Stark is here!"
Naturally, when he heard that his long-time idol and hero Tony Stark was in the orphanage looking to adopt, he thought his luck might have a slim chance of changing.
He smiled as he made his way downstairs and to the backyard where the most kids were already standing in a line, some following behind him.
"These are the kids?" Tony asked the directress who nodded. He eyed each of the kids almost carefully.
"They'll introduce themselves first, then you can tell us who you'd like to get to know better, we'll give you a few minutes with the child or children you would like to talk to, if you want to extend that time you'll have to go to me and if you anything I'll be in my office." The directress explained with a smile.
"Yes, thank you very much." Pepper smiled back kindly before the other woman headed back inside.
The couple turned their attention back to the lineup of children consisting of mutliple races, shapes and genders. The children began introducing themselves one by one.
"I'm Thomas." One boy smiled, his hair was unruly and he had a bandaid on his cheek. He was practically bouncing with energy.
"I-I'm Peter. Nice to meet you, sir!" Peter introduced himself to the multimillionaire and his wife.
Pepper smiled back but Tony seemed to be uninterested. The rest of the introductions went similarly. Pepper would be the one to interact with the kids in a more friendly manner, smiling at them and occasionally cracking jokes while Tony would make dispassionate small talk before moving onto the next.
There was one little girl who caught Tony's eye and that time, the ex-playboy seemed more interested in whatever the child was talking about.
"What's your name, kid?" Tony asked after kneeling down to reach the girl's height.
"My name is Mary.." Her blue eyes seemed to be focused on the ground and she smiled shyly.
"Mary, huh?" He ruffled her blonde hair, "Alright. I'll keep that in mind."
The couple continued on until they reached the last kid. One of the eldest went up to call the directress.
"Have you decided on-"
"Yeah. I'd like to get a day for us to talk to that Mary kid." Tony took off his signature glasses and folded them before placing them in his breast pocket.
"Oh, she's absolutely wonderful." The directress commented, "Anyone else?"
"Peter." Pepper said. While Tony spent a few minutes talking to Mary, she has decided to make small talk with Peter and found him absolutely endearing.
"Alright then." The other woman nodded, "Let's check the schedule. Normally I can give you both half a day with each of them since both of them have school, unless you would like to wait until next weekend?"

Spider-Man is a menace. Atleast, that's what the Daily Bugle calls him.
"What is this guy?" Clint asks as they review the footage of the vigilante for what feels like the millionth time today.
"Looks like a mutant. Might be the suit but that seems unlikely." Banner responds.
"Does it matter?" Tony asks, his eyes never leaving the screen as the crime fighting spider manages to stop a car before swinging away, "We'll catch this guy either way."
"He might be a small-time vigilante but we shouldn't get too confident." Steve cautions.
"It's all good, Capsicle. He can't take us all at once." The ex-playboy pats the man's shoulder, "We just gotta.. trap him under a glass cup or something."
"He isn't actually a spider-" Banner mumbles but went mostly unnoticed.
"Whatever." The 'star spangled man with a plan' sighs, "Let's try to catch him as quickly as possible. Don't seriously injure him."
"And if he hurts one of us?" Natasha finally speaks up with an eyebrow raised.
"He won't."

I hope that was okay for a first chapter. OCs will not be playing any major roles in the story, so don't worry.
Thomas, Mary, the directress and any other 'OC' was made up on the spot and again, will not play any major roles.
Thank you for reading, I appreciate it.
