You know let me tell you guys something, nature is quite inevitable if you ask me. Forming such a wonderful place of our own, somewhere we can call home, beautiful in its own glory at least with that in mind I definately felt in place, like its where I belong. I thought of this as I further zoned out the world zooming into the book i was reading, brows furrowed in concentration.
The smooth melodies of James Arthur's Unconditionally seeping through the light blue headsets to my ears just made me relax as I read through my novel.Reading took me to a whole new world as I read, fantasy was something I fancied 'cause that's what I thought life was, especially this particular time of year.
I mean how did I even it to senior year that I much could not suffice but hey! at least I was going to graduate and I won't have to be forced to go to school and mix with pre-mature teenagers just like I was avoiding per now, seated outside the brick foundation right outside the cafeteria. You may be thinking I'm a loner, well I'd think so myself but apparently I've got a boyfriend, I shuddered at the thought, and my goofy-ass bestfriend, *drums roll* Harry Ficher, been besties for as long as I can remember. I remember this one time whe-.
My chain of thought was suddenly cut off by an unwanted presence snatching of my headsets. I looked up calmly at whatever creature could have done this bringing me back to the place I dreaded the most. Earth.
"Yes please, I presume you wanted my attention, boy- i -don't- know," I said to the tanned boy looking quite not happy about my being out here.
"Oh, you bet I do, Zoe," he said irritatingly. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Well..." I said trailingoff while lifting my book and pointedly looking at my headsets in his left arm.
"I can see that," he spat. While settling down next to me on the foundation. "And anyway what's that you're reading."he continued looking at the cover of my book.
"I'm actually going for the African theme now, this time round," I said giving him a small smile.
"Yeah whatever, my main point is what are you doing out here when you're supposed to be inside having lunch? I thought we talked about this and came to common terms."he said pointing behind us to the faded gray building, that's the cafeteria.
"You out of all people knows how I despise having a crowded table with all those girls drooling all over you and saying things like, 'Harry, Harry you're so funny!',"I said trying to mimic the love sick girls that had grown a habit of seating at our table every lunch nowadays. "And besides if you need me you know exactly where to find me."
I watched intently as his expression changed to serious, his dark orbs watching me like an eagle ready to pounce on a chick.
"Zoe you need to stop this, okay? Its not healthy, you avoiding people all the time those girls mean no harm, really. I know you hate them evading our space but you gotta deal with it, since your bad boy here just became the school's basketball team captain, you should be happy for me, you know. And they are just adjusting to the changes, you know."he said shrugging nonchalantly. But I knew better.
I rolled my eyes,"Oh please, Harry. Save me the trouble. I know you're enjoying the attention just as much as everybody else, so, don't pull that faux-innocence face with me." I said in my normal monotone voice.
"That's not the point Zoe, you have to feed on normal food instead of M&M's and chocolate milk all year through," he said popping a yellow one straight into his mouth. I scoffed. "And also Hunter has been bombarding me with questions of your whereabouts and its getting irritating."
😙I let out a sad heavy sigh. Hunter Garrison. Lets not go there. Gosh, Hunter, my supposed 'boyfriend', the one I had a crush on since my highschool sophomore year. The guy I had a zillion thoughts about in way too many different scenarios, was eventually my boyfriend, well, one might wonder how the hell this happened, I can tell you how but lets rewind back to sophomore year when I had joined Tonnington High School ofcourse with Harry in tow, as I told you we go way back but that's another story for another time.
