Adam's POV

Post Exposure

The bell rang and I jumped up, I bolted down the hallway and came to a stop right in front of my locker. I wanted to get my stuff before my best friend, (First Name), walked out so that I could invite them over after school. I wanted to show them that I still love them as them, recently they had come out as non-binary. I'm still confused but I'm willing to make changes to make them happy.

Once I was done throwing my stuff into my bookbag, I ran to the entrance to see if I could spot (First Name). I see their face in the crowd and I wave them down. They saw me and stifled a laugh. They walked over and hugged me.

"Hey Adam!" (First Name) greeted.

"Hey (First Name)!" I smiled, "Hey do you wanna hang out at my house today? We can watch a movie!"

"Ouuuu yes! Can we watch the princess and the frog?" They pleaded. I nodded and slung my arm around their shoulders.

------Time Skip to the house------

Davenport Estate

"Hey, I gotta run down to the lab to put my stuff away," Adam stated.

"Ok! I'll make us some popcorn and set up the movie," I grinned. He headed off to put his bag away so I ran into the kitchen and searched the cupboards for popcorn. I finally found some and popped it in the microwave.

"Who are you?" Said someone behind me making me jump. I turned around to see Adam's brother, Chase.

"Oh, hi. I'm Adam's friend, (First Name)." I held out my hand. He took it and looked at me suspiciously.

"Chase, stop looking at them like that, that's why you don't have any friends dumbass." Adam chuckled entering the room. Chase huffed and walked out.

"Oki Dokie it's movie time!" I smiled, "Oh hey, can you put the popcorn in a bowl while I find The Princess and the Frog?" Adam nodded and headed into the kitchen. I plopped down on the couch and searched Disney+ to find the movie. I grinned when I found it and clicked on it. Adam turned off the lights and came in with a giant blanket, and the popcorn.

He sat down next to me and placed the popcorn in his lap. I started the movie and laid my head on his shoulder. He stiffened for a moment but loosened back up. I yawned and was about to shift my head to the pillow beside me but Adam gently took my shoulder and guided my head towards his lap.

I sighed and just laid there watching the movie and jumped a little in surprise when Adam began scratching my head and playing with my hair. I looked up at him and he smiled. I shrugged it off and turned my attention back to the tv. I closed my eyes for a few minutes but did not fall asleep.

I suppose that Adam thought I was asleep because while my eyes were closed I heard him sigh and mumble, "If only they knew how much I really loved them."

Adam shifted his position so I sat up and let him lay down. I climbed on top of him and partially sunk myself into the couch. I threw my leg over him and locked my arms around his neck. His breathing was slightly shaky. Nonetheless, however, he locked his arms around my waist. I yanked the blanket back over us and nuzzled into Adam's chest.

I looked up at Adam. He looked so cute when he was focused on something. He looked down at me and I blushed. We made eye contact and I didn't want to break it. I pushed up and kissed him. He froze for a second before grabbing my face and pulling me closer. We parted and I blushed extremely hard.

I laid my head back on his chest and he went back to scratching my head. I sighed and smiled at tonight. Adam's heartbeat was lulling me to sleep.The dim light from the tv made me even sleepier. I closed my eyes and let myself fall asleep.

Adam's POV
Davenport Estate
4:13 pm

(First Name) fell asleep on my chest and they looked so cute. Their face was relaxed and the only sound coming from them were little huffs. I smiled and continued scratching their head.

With them on my chest and the movie playing, I began to fall asleep as well. My eyes became heavy and I just let them fall. I hugged (First Name) tighter and let my body shut down.

Author's Note: I know this chapter is a lot shorter than the other one. It's literally 1000 words shorter but to be fair it's easier for me to write smut and shit, I may not be good but my brain can drag that shit out. Anyways, even though I'm better at writing smut because I can write more, I don't want this entire book to be just a shit ton of hormones. So I hope you enjoy this cute little chapter.
