"Are you sure you have everything Julie?" My mother asked me as she looked around my dorm room for the fifth time.
"Yes mother." I put a fake smile on my face,mostly because I was annoyed and ready to explore the school but my mom was holding me back.
"Well I guess this is it.." She said,chocking on her tears.
"Mommmmm. Its alright. Please dont start with the water works.Listen,i'll call you tonight. Okay?"
"Alright. I love you Juilliard." My mom said as she pulled me into a big hug.
"Love you too. Now get out kid." I said with a smile on my face and watched my mom walk out the room. Honestly,I was gonna miss her. Its been me and her for 18 years but now,im on my own. I looked around the room and smiled. Time to explore. I grabbed my bag and dorm key and headed out. This school was amazing. Big,beautiful with so many different types of people. I hoped off the last step and started to walk around the campus. Who would ever thought that I,Jay Owlers, would get into Juilliard. I probably looked like a crazy person,walking around smiling to myself. But hey,I was happy!
After walking around the campus for two hours,I decided to go back to my dorm and see if my roommate was here. I put the key in the keyhole and unlocked the door to find a tall white girl standing there.
"Hi! Your Juilliard?" White girl with a huge smile on her face. She seemed just as happy as I was to be here.
"Correct and you are ..?"
"Carrie." She walked over and hugged me. a hugger I see. " Ah. I still cant believe im here."
"Me either." I replied and sat on my bed and looked at her. "So where are you from?"
"California. you?"
"Damn,you travled that far? And New Jersey." I got to know a lot about Carrie. Shes a twin for starters. Her sister lives down the hall,her names Cindy. Shes 17, never been out of Cali,this was her first time away from home. Overall,I like her and she was cute. She's 5'9,blonde,nice teeth,nice dress game. I could tell we were gonna get along perfectly fine.
"Okay Jay,you know I have to ask. Are the boys cute here?" I couldnt help but laugh. She's already thinking about boys.
"Umm,yeah i guess. I haven't really payed attention. "
"Oh come onnnnn! You havent seen one cute boy today?"
"Nope. what about Ms. boy crazy. You see any cute boys?" She grinned. Oh boy.
