Hello! This is my first story here on wattpad. I've written this on my instagram account but I never finished it. A lot of people liked it so I hope some of you enjoy it on here as well. I'm very open to critics so please comment!

*Alexis's POV*
"No. You open it. I can't." I whined to Caleb, my brother. "Dude, just open it! There's a 50% chance you got in and a 50% chance you didn't. Plus, it's a big envelope. That usually means something good." Caleb looked at me and I looked at the envelope laying on the kitchen table. Slowly I reached my hand towards the case and picked it up. I can't do this. What if I didn't get accepted? This is the only college that I applied for and if this says no, me and my little brother can't leave New York for a whole other year. "Oh gosh! Give me that!" Caleb said snatching it out of my hand. "I'll open it!" he exclaimed giving me this playful dirty look.
Oh Jesus! He's opening it. Oh goodness. "Don't tell me! I want to look at it myself." I uttered, still looking down at the ground. "Dear Alexis," he started reciting. I wanted to yell and tell him to stop, but deep down we both knew I would never have the courage to actually look it, so I let him continue.
"Congratulations! You have been accepted into Richmond University." I cut him off with a giant hug and I squealed. "Oh my gosh Caleb! I'm in! I got in! I'm moving, we're moving! Oh my gosh!" He gave me a pat on the back, he was never a big hugger but I yanked him up from the chair and hugged him tightly. His arms went around me automatically and we started to cry. Finally! We're finally leaving New York!
We broke from the 10 minute hug- "So, when are we leaving this crap of a town?!" He asked "As soon as we're all packed and have the plane booked, we're outta here!" I screamed the way my dad use to when he said that. Noticing the familiar catch phrase 'We're outta here' I saw a tear shed down Caleb's face. He nodded his head and went to the room we shared to start packing.
I smiled to myself thinking how lucky I was to get accepted into Richmond, one of the best schools. It's literally like the elite of the elite. It's a true blessing that I got in. I could almost hear my mom and dad say how proud they were. I'm proud too.
