Harry stood in the line of 5th years as each one got resorted as commanded by Umbridge. Harry looks back at his bestfriends with a worried expression but they just gave him a reassuring smile. He looks back at the front of the line Fred and George are waiting as a Ravenclaw hops off the seat happy. Fred walks up to the seat and Professor McGonagall places the hat on his head, Gryffindor. He lets out a breath of relief so does George. The line keeps moving as Harry gets closer and closer to the front he spots Malfoy walking up to the seat. The sorting hat isn't even fully on his head when the sorting hat yells out Slytherin just like the first sorting ceremony. Closer, closer, closer, and there he is walking up the stool to get resorted, he sits down and Professor McGonagall sets the sorting hat onto his head.
"Harry Potter, I wish I could help you get back into Gryffindor." The sorting hat whispers to him. Harry sighs a dreadful sigh as the sorting hat yells out.
"SLYTHERIN!" He looks at his friends and can tell how sad they are. Harry hops of the stool and walks over to the Slytherins making eye contact with Draco. Harry turns around and sees Hermione sitting on the stool then the hat yells out Gryffindor. Then Ron goes up and sits on the stool also being sorted into Gryffindor. Harry sighs a long sigh he just hopes Dumbledore comes back soon.
"What's the matter, Potter? Scared you won't see your precious little friends again?" Harry turns around looking straight at Draco. He glares daggers at him.
"shove off Malfoy." Harry says walking away from him. Then a dreadful thought washes over him. Do I have to share a room with Malfoy? Harry looks over at Draco who happens to have his eyes glued to him. A shiver goes through Harrys body, had he been looking at him the whole time? He watches the last bit of students get sorted then off they go. Malfoy leads the new Slytherins to the dormitories being the head boy and all tells them the usual then sends them on their way. Of course Harry already knew where the Slytherin common room was, hence his 2nd year Polyjuice potion incident. Harry doesn't bother sitting instead he heads out of the common room and goes to meet up with his friends. When he gets to the spot where they are supposed to meet up he spots Ron holding Harrys invisibility cloak.
"Oh thanks, Ron I don't know what I'm gonna do without you." Harry takes the cloak from Ron.
"Same for us. You're our best friend mate." He looks worried not for himself but for Harry. "Will you be okay without us? I mean having to stand Malfoy everyday."
"I'll be fine Ron. Once Dumbledore gets back we'll all be together again I know we will." He gives his friends a re assuring smile. Hermione and Ron give him a huge hug.
"Well we really should be heading off before Umbridge puts more cuts in our hands." They all nod and head their separate ways. This is going to be a long year.
