I sit in a moon crater and sigh in content. My hair floating around my purple tanned skin. I smile and stand up, dusting myself off. The moon dust sparkles as I look around at the countless amount of suns in the sky.
I smile at the sparkles and look at the sun. It's huge. If you think flames are beautiful you have no idea. The red and yellow ball is miles away, but the heat is indescribable. If there was oxygen it would be humid as hell and you wouldn't be able to breathe it. I look at the thousands of other stars around me. I become breathless. Living in space makes ordinary problems seem so minuscule. That drama that is eating you alive down on earth means nothing up here. That possible bomb, nope can't touch me. I don't have to watch out for anything and I'm perfectly content with that.
My moon watch dings and I see it's a facetime call from my best friend/sister; Sarmina Croose. She is probably the most beautiful one of us. Her naturally bluish-grayish skin is always glowing and she's a very kind girl.
She doesn't break rules and is considered the innocent girl in our pod. I think that's a pile of Hund shiz. She's just a really good actor. I answer the call with a smirk.
"Hey,"
She smiles, "Hey dork," She giggles and brushes blue hair. I guess someone is behind her because she is being fake.
"Yeah...call me when you're alone," I go to hang up, but she giggles again.
"No! Jurian! No one's here.."
"Soooo,"
She looks at something, "You need to come back....they know you left,"
The wind gets knocked out of me and I feel sick. I look at the sun again and sigh, "Yeah...I figured they'd find out eventually,"
Living on the moon had its sacrifices. Such as; not being allowed to leave home. Where's home you ask? My pod. A pod is a roundhouse like floating device. It is a super-powerful technology that is unknown to normal human life. well...
Can you call somewhere home if you never want to be there? If you are constantly running from it. I think that I don't belong there, I think I have a specific duty and it's being hidden from me.
I stand up and dust the sparkles from my navy hair. I roll my eyes as I look up and see the Polizei.
I wave them down and they immediately swoop down. I feel the brace on my ankle and roll my eyes. The Polizei aren't...conventional. Their rules are strict, their ways of getting things done are harsh, and they only know how to rule through fear.
I hang up on Sarmina and wait for an officer. She comes down and I roll my eyes again. it's ridiculous. I'm being arrested for going for a walk. I know why they are so cautious, but it's stupid.
"I hope you are well aware that throwing me into a cell isn't going to deter my curiosity Viga," I scoff as she pulls me towards her car pod.
"Oh, we know. That's why we have a special...condition just for you now,"
I roll my eyes, "You said that when you moved my pod from inside to outside...." I giggle and fake enthusiasm, "CONGRATS!"
Her cheeks tint purple with anger and she shoves me into the car, "You are so rude! Your sister is completely di-"
"I'm not my sister," I smirk again. I've been told that same damn thing so often I feel like slapping someone. "Your sister this.." and blah!
"Well you should try to be," her words cut deep, but I remain smirking. That's all I can do because she doesn't know and never will.
