Nakasilip ako sa bintana habang tinitingnan ang mga matatayog na gusali sa abot ng aking mga mata.
Sa hindi malamang dahilan ay naalala ko si Raine, my ex-girlfriend and my first love. She loves to watch city lights by night and building by day. Siya iyong tipong mahilig sa innovation at pagpaplano. I can't help but smile, I missed her.
Kami siguro iyong pinagtagpo pero hindi tinadhana o kaya naman tamang tao sa maling panahon. We were both young that time. Hindi pa alam kung magtatagal but the love we felt for each other was childish but true.
But because of the dreams that we want to achieve, we decided to go different paths and to achieve our dreams, we need to let go.
I got back to my senses when I felt vibration in my pocket. I immediately get my phone and saw Katherine's number.
"Honey, pwede bang ikaw na lang muna ang sumipot sa wedding organizer natin?" tanong ni Katherine, my fiancee. "I can't make it because I want to hangout with my friends, is it okay honey?" She asked.
"Hangout? Kasal natin iyon, hindi basta-bastang okasyon." I said. "We should be hands-on with its preparation." I continued. Hindi naman sa parang hinahadlangan ko si Katherine na sumama sa mga kaibigan niya, pero may iba pa namang panahon para doon. It's our wedding. OUR wedding.
"Sorry hon, but I already accepted their invitation. I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you later." She said with a sad voice.
"Okay fine," I said as a sign of giving up. "Ako na ang kakausap sa wedding organizer natin, sana hindi na ito mauulit ah?"
"Sure, hon. Ngayon lang 'to promise." She cheered up. "Gotta go, I love you honey."
"I lov–" I was interrupted when I heard the sign of disconnection. Pinatay niya na ang tawag. I immediately texted Katherine to send me the details of their meeting place.
Maybe you think that I sound cheating with Katherine because I reminisced Raine. Raine was my first love and you can't blame me kung sumasagi pa rin sa isipan ko si Raine. But, it's not what you think. Memories na lang ang narito wala na ang pagmamahal. It's been a long time when we parted ways at wala na rin akong naririnig na balita sa kanya.
While, Katherine is my fiancee. Were been together for 3 years and we're planning to settle down. I met Katherine when Raine left. She's always there for me through my toughest times. Siguro naiisip niyo na ginamit ko lang si Katherine para kalimutan ko si Raine but that's not true. I love her with all my heart. I never loved her just to forget Raine.
