when the next day winner was announced, wendy was nowhere to be seen. the host, their music teacher announced that she was placed second. she said that she'll hand out the prize to wendy as soon as she came back to school.

but little did they know...

months went by and wendy still haven't came to school.

and one day, mailman suddenly dropped something at minsoo house.

a cassette. with a CD.

curiously, minsoo played the cassette right away and it was a recording of someone singing. he recognized the voice immediately even he only heard she sang once.

it was wendy's.

as soon as the cassette stopped playing, minsoo played the CD and again, it was wendy.

but this time she wasn't singing. but instead she was sitting in front of the camera smiling.

then it transitioned to a girl laughing happily. unconsciously, minsoo smiled at the scenes.

then another scene where five girls are laughing at the beach and playing tags.

then another.

another.

the video went on and on and mostly revolves around wendy.

until black screen appeared for a second and then the same wendy from the beginning of the video appeared.

"hi minsoo, how are you doing?" she asked through the screen. "I know you might be wondering why I sent you this but honestly I don't know either," then she chuckled.

minsoo could've swore he could feel his heart tingling. "anyways, are you happy with nina?" there's sadness in wendy eyes. "if she hurt you, you can tell me and I'll punch her for you," then she laughed.

minsoo never thought wendy is this pretty.

then she became silent and looked hesitant to say the next word.

"I... I... I like you minsoo, and I don't think I ever liked someone this much before that it scares me," wendy sniffles. "and the fact you got nina hurts me even more," wendy wiped her tear that fall.

"no, no, no, no, no, don't cry," minsoo said to the wendy on the screen.

"so I went away. I cannot take the pain you've caused me anymore. seeing you with nina makes me want to cry everytime because I know I can't never be in her place. I love you but you loved her," more tears rolled down her cheek. "even though you never acknowledge my existence in school, I still love you," wendy sobs uncontrollably. "I'm sorry but I can't do this," then the video ended.

minsoo sat there shock, unable to process everything, and can't believe how dense he was.

he knew wendy would stared at her sometimes and steal glances at him but he thought it was nothing. but turns out, she had feelings for him.

minsoo groaned in annoyance.

he wanted to meet with wendy but she said she went away and he doesn't even know to where. minsoo wanted to ask so many questions to wendy.

but maybe it's all too late.

maybe it's all meant to be like this. even if he have the same feelings as wendy, he can't just leave nina for her.

"I'm sorry wendy."
