Beauty Is More Than Deep Skin

She is pregnant.

She is having his child.

A child I was suppose to have carried if I was. ...  perfect. ... if I was beautiful.

They looked perfect, they looked happy.

6 Months and I was forgotten, in 6 months he had gotten her pregnant.

It hurt, it hurt to see he had gotten over me in just 6 months, me his mate. ....

Deep down I had hoped. ... hope that if he looked at me now he would love me now, even just a little.

Tears formed in my eyes, I couldn't look at them any longer, I turned to run until I bumped into someone, I looked up to see David.

"Eden what are you doing here? I told you to stay in your room until- Eden what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"David. .. " I couldn't help my heart broken, I showed weakness for the first time since I discovered everything. ... I hugged David and he hugged me back.

He couldn't know it was hopeless. I couldn't tell him my mate wasn't my mate no more.

"Crying? Ha. Are you kidding me. I'm just going to miss you is all." I smiled up at him and swallowed back my tears. "Beside you know I don't follow the rules, I'm so excited to finally meet my parents. "

Partly I was excited in meeting my real parents, but seeing them together made me to hide. .... be the coward I once was, but I wasn't going to let that happen, I wasn't the same Eden and that little hope I had held onto of Matt and I being together was long gone.

"No, not yet that will be at the end of the night. Now come on then, everyone is finally here." He lead me away from the happy couple and to the table of food. Food always made me happy but not now.

I turned to the mic where a small stage was set. A woman and man that looked to be in there late thirties smiled to the crowed.

Where they my parents? No. .. they couldn't neither have red curly hair or even green eyes.

" Hello everyone, how's everyone doing tonight? We would like to thank David for gathering us all tonight for our yearly gather and also because there happens to be a surprise in-store for us according to David. Where are you David come on up here."

There seemed to be a lot of applauds as David smiled to me encouragingly and headed towards the stage.

It surprised me I never thought to see David so happy or popular he was half the time serious in my training.

"Thanks Luis for the introduction but that surprise will have to wait until the end of the night, so please enjoy the party. " The crowd applauded and everyone went back to talking to themselves or dancing, and David totally forgetting about me, Thanks David thanks for leaving me to the wolves.

I looked around the crowd and shivered from the cold. I walked heading towards the house to get my leather jacket I left in my room.

Heading towards the cottage I walked in to find David and three men in the living room. They seemed tense, maybe even ready to shift.

"Is everything ok David?" I looked confused at David.

"Mine."

I shivered at the sound of that voice, the good kind that even made my womb tighten and I'm even ashamed to admit my nipples seemed to perk up as well.

I looked up to see the man who spoke and I could help but openly check him out. He had brown wavy hair, ice blue eyes, bags under his eyes, a 5 o clock shadow, and a body of a Greek god.

"Eden, go back out-"

"No, she is to go up stair and change." The Greek god said without taking his eyes off me well not my eyes more like my breasts. I look down to see I had not put on a bra and my nipples were now noticeable,  I blushed and crossed my arms across my breasts only to make it worst, now my boobs were pushed up for all eyes to see.

"Now." The stranger said again. He was handsome and his blue eyes almost me me want to drown in them but then my brain started to work instead of my hormones.

Wait. Who the hell did this Greek god think he is? Bossing me? Me?! Embarrassed and furious at the stranger I walked towards David wrapping my arm around his. "I don't know who the hell you think you are but no one except David here is allowed to tell me what to do! Heck I don't do half the things he tells me to do! What makes you think I'll do what you say!"

"Eden please just go outside I'll handle this-"

"I am your mate."

I froze. Mate?

I shook my head. No. No, I already have a mate, it can't be-

"- I am not only doing this for you but someone else that also needs hope and with time you will know who it is-"

No, is he my second chance mate? Was he the one Luna said I was going to give hope?

"No. ... No it can't be..." I couldn't take it anymore. I ran.

Without looking I tumbled into a someone topping us into the floor. I gasped at the small faded tingles.

"Eden!?"

No, no please not now, not ever, please. This couldn't be possibly be happening to me right now!

I pulled away from him even just a little but his arms wouldn't let me.

"Eden is that really you?"
