Midnight Madness

It was a clear and peaceful night in Delhi. But not in the prestigious Delhi college. A group of boys are chasing two persons who are running fast, knowing the fact that if they get caught, they will be beaten black and blue.

"Gosh we lost the signal!", groaned Aman, cursing their bad luck.
"No shit, Sherlock. All we know is that Keshav told us to split and take shortcuts to our dorms!",replied Rajini, coming to a halt. Now the duo are trying to contemplate on which way to go.
"Goggle, you go left and i will go right."
"No way, you go right and I will go left!"
"Whatever," replied Aman airily."Let's see who will get caught tonight."

Rajini paused and slowly turned towards Aman, who is now wearing a smirk on his face and said, "Is that a challenge I hear?" to which, Aman replied,"No shit, Sherlock."
"3, 2, 1....GO!"

With this they split and ran at full speed, racing against each other.

"Talk to you later, Lalitha. Goodnight!" replied Kusum to her phone and flopped on her bed.
'Wow today was so peaceful. Should I take a shower now or later?' thought Kusum. A large bang on her door startled her and groaned.
'There goes my peace....' mused Kusum and opened the door, revealing a very tired Rajini.
"What shit did you do today?", asked Kusum to Rajini who flopped on the bed, dead tired.
"Very tired, so ttyl."
"Hey, you are sweaty so go take a shower, NOW!'
"But Kusum...."
"Puppy eyes are not going to save you, now go shower."
"...bloody shower..."
"Did you say something Goggle?"
"No, nothing, my most amazing and dearest friend, nothing at all!!", replied Rajini who quickly got up and went to shower but not without sending a quick text to Aman, smiling notoriously.

"About time, Keshav. Where were you?" asked Aman furiously in his phone.
"Arey yaar, don't blame me, blame the connection. Where are you?"

Silence was all Keshav got as an answer.

"Let me check the cameras,"sighed Keshav, hacking into the college campus cameras.
"You are the best Keshav!" said Aman with a grin.
"Flattery will get you nowhere. Ugh why did the principal had to renovate the college and why both you and Goggle Didi always do this to me and- oh you are near to your dorm. Hurry up they are behind you. Now take a left and go-"
"Keshav? Hello? Not again!!!"

Aman hears footsteps coming.'Shit the assassins are coming near'( Stop being dramatic Aman).

He bolts forward and goes left and sees the dorms.

'I don't have time, let's just go to a random dorm.' With this thought Aman tries to enter the first dorm, praying that the door is open. To his luck the door was open and Aman slipped inside and locked the door.

" Who are you? Don't you know knocking?" asked the occupant of the dorm.

Aman did not know what to say. Let's see his thoughts, shall we?
'Wow he is like a beautiful sculpture. And man don't get me started with his voice.That nose ring makes him ten times hotter- what the hell Aman it's not the time to check him out oh no what should I say tell fast Aman OK first calm down...'

"Sshhh....Be quiet...I am here to protect you from an evil organisation whose aim is to kidnap students who roam at night and brainwash them. So be quiet otherwise they will kidnap us."explained Aman with a very sincere voice.

'Wow Aman Tripathi why not just say we are a national threat?' thought Aman sarcastically.

But the other man seemed to believe Aman and nodded vigorously.
Aman pressed his ear to the door and listened carefully.

--outside the dorm--

"Where did they go? we did not even see their faces. Gosh leader will not be happy about this!"
"They went the other way. Let's go!"
With this they scurried away.

--inside the dorm--

Aman lets out a sigh in relief.
"OMFG, I can't believe I believed you for a second there. Now explain to me."

Aman extended his arm and introduces himself

" First of all, I am Aman Tripathi."
The other man stared at the extended arm. After a long contemplation he accepts and replies, "Kartik Singh."

Aman grinned at him.
"Cute name."
