Myra

It was a cold morning. I woke up and put my favorite, warm, fuzzy, black and white socks on. You wouldn't believe how comfortable they were. I'm Myra, and I'm late for my date. I ran to my closet to pick the nicest dress to wear.

There was no luck, my room was now a total hot mess. I found a pink dress with a lace trim. I was too busy focusing on what to wear with the dress , but then I ran for the shower. I put the water on hot. Without even putting my hand below the water to check if it wasn't too hot, I went inside, and jumped.

What was going on? My mornings have never been so dreadful. Perhaps, I'm just overreacting for this "date". The guy I'm going out with is the one and only stud. His name is Jake.

He's the popular boy in school, and finally he broke up with this trashy, slutty girl. She just used him. Well, that's what he said. But, I've seen her, and talked to her, so I kind of believe him. He just came out of nowhere, and just started a conversation with me.

All I remember was, he said "you're very beautiful, and unlike other girls, you actually be yourself," I was flattered, especially, by the second part. Anyway, he is an amazing guy, and I can't wait for this date to go perfect. I got out of the shower and dried myself up. I then, went to put my dress on, with a cardigan.

I brushed my hair and put a bow in the back of my hair. I smiled at the mirror and went downstairs. I got the keys to my Mazda, and started the engine. I drove to Louis' Grill. I looked at the mirror, to make sure I did look good.

I know that totally doesn't show the fact that I'm "me". It's just, I've heard Jake really wants a girl to be neat and all that good stuff. I need to be that It Girl that Jake needs. I went inside and tried to look for Jake. I saw him sitting at a booth, and I waved to him. He waved back, and I went to the booth.

"Hey," Jake smiled at me, examining my face and what I was wearing.

"Hey," I smiled back, but then started dulling it, because I didn't want it to be a huge hideous smile that would make him throw the nachos at me and run back to Trashy Trina.

"You look beautiful," Jake winked.

"Well, you look good too," I said.

"Thanks," He smiled.

"So what should we order?" Jake asked.

Oh great, he didn't just ask me that. The fact, I have never been to this restaurant EVER. It is so far away from my house, and so expensive. The second fact, that I had to lie to Jake, that I've been to this "cheap" restaurant before. I looked in the menu, and noticed the word pasta.

"The..Spicy 4 Cheese Pasta," I read out. "Okay," he said, and gave our order to the lady. We looked at each other for a while. My stomach gave out a huge grumble, because I had been eyeing this beautiful woman eating a S'mores cheesecake. "Um? Are you ok?" Jake asked.

"Huh? Oh, no, I'm fine," I answered back. He raised an eyebrow and drank his water. I was in a trance, looking at the cheesecake. Without even knowing my pasta had arrived, I was starting to drool. "Myra?" Jake asked.

He was surely disgusted. Finally, I took a napkin and cleaned myself up. "Sorry," I apologized. "It's all...right, I guess," He said. This fancy restaurant DOESN'T even give a good amount of pasta!

I took a bite, and it was awful. I spat it out. He then, got a call from his "mother". "Yes," he answered. Then, he hung up.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go," he said and ran. I was left alone, with disgusting pasta. The bill came, and the total was $258.95. Jake had ordered a lot of steak. Basically, a 6 oz steak was 50 dollars, because it's made in a fresh and good way.

Quote that statement. There I was, paying that money, which took half of my money in the only credit card, I brought. That was the worst date, but at least it will be memorable, and we didn't break up.

I packed my cheesecake and left that hellish restaurant, and drove home. There, I remained in my bed with my fuzzy socks, and wrote this whole day out in my journal.
