It was a beautiful day. Myra woke up and did a morning prayer. "Mom, I love you so much, and I hope for you to remain happy, wherever you are," Myra said. She sat down on her couch, and turned the TV on. There was the title, breaking news.
Breaking News:
Suspicious things, have been occurring in the western states. Therefore, if you see anything suspicious, call the police.
Myra lived on the east coast. "Whatever," she ignored. Then, came another headline.
Breaking news: A school has been invaded by a gunman, leaving several people injured and some dead.
2 hours after....
Hotel has been robbed and invaded by a gunman.
It was all happening in the western states. Myra was worried for the people. Her eyes got watery as they went into explaining the conflicts and pictures of the people. That night, she made sure every door and window was LOCKED. She then, tried to sleep.
Strikes of thunders. Myra couldn't sleep, with the fear rolling inside of her soul. Later on, the power went off. The house was pitch black. Myra tried to walk her way down, but she ended up falling down the stairs.
Myra yelled in pain. She tried to pick herself up and walk. Then, a sound came from the kitchen. Someone had came in, by breaking the window. Myra opened her mouth to ask who was there, but instead she crawled to hide.
The person didn't care if someone was there or not. The person didn't care if someone saw or not. The person didn't care. The person just casually came inside. The person didn't grab anything.
The person was dressed in black, and a black mask. Myra grabbed a sharp knife by a nearby table. She slowly crawled and got up, and stabbed the person. The person groaned in pain but managed to grab the knife and pushed Myra away and ran away. Myra didn't see the person's face.
Wind was blowing hard, curtains waving. "Hello...hello!" Myra shouted. Then, she got out her phone and called the police.
The window was broken and she realized that the back door was broken too. The police rang the doorbell. "Hello miss, what's wrong?" Officer Johnson asked. "Officer, some, someone broke into my house.....please follow me," Myra stuttered and walked the officer to the broken window in the kitchen and the back door. "Oh my," Johnson saw.
"When did this happen exactly?" Johnson asked. "It happened 15 minutes before I called, someone had broken in, I hid and then I attempted to attack the person in black clothing and black mask, with a knife, but that person pushed me and escaped..." Myra explained. "Did this person hurt you?" Johnson asked. "No.. the person just pushed me," Myra answered. "Did this person steal anything?" Johnson asked.
"No," Myra answered. "Alright, that window and back door will be fixed," Johnson said. "Will you be staying here tonight?" Johnson asked. "Yeah, I'll just invite a friend for protection, " Myra said. "Ok miss, we will help you in this," Johnson said and left.
Myra wondered who she should invite. Brooke, her best friend. She'd texted her everything. Later on, Brooke came. "Hey girl!" Myra hugged.
"Oh my god, are you ok? Did he steal anything?" Brooke asked. "No, and no, I don't know if it's a guy or a girl," Myra replied. "I'm staying with you now," Brooke said. "Okay?" Brooke asked. "Aw, yes room mate," Myra said.
They watched TV. "You know, a lot of weird stuff has been happening," Brooke went. "Yeah, stop scaring me even more," Myra said. "No, I mean, a shooting, hotel robbery, and now your house," Brooke went on. "Are you sure nothing is going on in your apartment right now?" Myra scared Brooke.
"Not funny," Brooke said. "Brooke, I'm scared, I don't want this publicized," Myra said. Myra called the cops. "Officer Johnson, hi, please, I don't want my incident....whatever this is, publicized, I'm just a student, and I don't want the attention from publicity," Myra left a message. "They won't, it's ok," Brooke said.
"I hope," Myra said. "So how was Jake?" Brooke asked. "I have a question," Myra asked. "Yeah?" Brooke asked. "Why is he popular?" Myra asked.
"I don't get why he is either," Brooke answered. "I don't think he liked our date, but I'm going to help him out," Myra said, pulling out her phone. "What?" Brooke asked. Brooke was confused. "Hello, hey Jake," Myra spoke.
"Oh! Myra!" Jake hollered. "Sorry, but I don't think any of our interest...match," Myra said. "Oh..."Jake sighed. "Yeah, so I decided I'd break up with you before you tried to do it to me first," Myra laughed. "Wh-" Jake said, but Myra hung up.
Brooke was sitting. Then, she started clapping. "Wow!" Brooke clapped. "Since when did you get spicy?" Brooke asked. "I've been saving it for that player," Myra said.
Brooke was so shocked. "Dude! He's always been your crush!" Brooke shouted. "Really? Was he?" Myra asked. "Oh..." Brooke stared at the ground. "But.." Brooke said, but then answered herself on her own.
"Good night Brooke," Myra said
"Good night, sister," Brooke said.
