I got a call from the hospital saying my mother had gotten into a serve car accident. I hurried and threw some clothes on. When I got to the hospital their were three people coming in on stretcher.

"This on is from the accident." an middle age woman yelled to the doctor.

It scared the hell out of me, it was so chaotic. My mind started to wonder. What if she was in that specific accident? What if she's gone? Nothing but negatives thoughts swarmed my mental. I walked to the front desk still thinking bad thoughts.

"How may I help you ma'm?" a younger woman said in a polite tone.

"Umm yeah. I'm looking for Veronica Philips."

"Room 438 , but it looks like she's in surgery." she said with all her attention on the computer screen. Before she could look at me, I was already down the hall by the elevators.

"Ma'am you cannot go into the operating rooms." she yelled trying to stop me before I got into the elevator. It felt like I was on the elevator for hours. I really pray my mother is ok.
When I got off the elevator I went straight to room 438. As I got closer to the door their were puddles of blood leading to the door. I quickly opened it. I could not believe my eyes. It truly felt like my brain was playing a trick on me and I was outside my body looking at myself. There was blood everywhere.

"She' loosing to much blood." the nurse said handing the doctor the tools to operate.

"No, your going to make it sweetie. Look at me, talk to me." the doctor said as he held my mother's head and rubbed her cheek before operating again.
No one noticed me, all the attention was on my mother. I stood their crying quietly.

"Do you have a family?" he said trying to stop the bleeding as she nodded her head yes.

"Yes a daughter."

"Aww that's nice I have four." he said smiling down at her. "Ok good news. We stopped the bleeding. You are going to make it."

I could hear her crying and thanking God she was ok. Finally the doctor put his hands up and looked my way toward the door.

"You can't be in here."

"That's my mother."

"Alright, I will update you when she gets out of surgery." he said walking me toward the door closing it behind me with his elbow.

I was sitting out their crying for hours. I finally looked at my phone and realized what time it was. 4 : O3. By the time 4 : 2O hit I stood at attention by the door being opened by the doctor who operated on my mother.

"Hi Leslie right." he said with a smile shaking my hand. "She told me about you before we operated."

"Yes." Even though he was being nice, I wasn't in the mood for small talk. I wanted to know what was going on with my mother.

"I have good news and bad news." He paused for a second putting the clip board by his side. " Good news is she is going to live. Bad news is she has a broken leg, rib cage, and a pretty bad sprang neck. She also was 4 months pregnant."

When he said that I almost fainted. My mother doesn't have a husband nor a boyfriend as far as I know. She's a "don't have sex if your not married" kind of person. How could she be pregnant? By who? When? Where? She normally comes straight home after work. When I finally thought about it, I noticed I answered my own question.

" But right now she's in a coma. But good news we know when she will wake up.It should be about two to three days. You can stay in the hospital with her. You can actually go in and see her, she's all cleaned up. But I advice you to go home get some rest and come back in the morning." he said before rubbing my shoulder and leaving. I nodded and headed into the room.
