After dinner they both went back home.
As usual the car ride was silence. But the blazer she had on smelled so intoxicating and all she could do was breath into his scent.

She knew she was acting weird but she didn't care.

" You want some ice cream?" He asked as he saw the ice cream shop.

Zhong Hong stopped whatever she was doing and looked at him.

" Yes, please." She said

He drove to the shop and the two got off the car.

Zhong Hong was looking at the ice creams when she saw a girl walk over to her step brother. At first she thought the girl was gonna pass him but instead she stood infront of him and she moved a strand of her hair behind her ears.

She rolled her eyes and picked up a Oreo ice cream.

She walked up to him and pulled his wrist.

Xiao Zhan looked at her and nodded his head as she showed him the ice cream. But before they could go the girl said something.

" Hello but can you help me take that bag of chips." She said pointing at it.

" Uh-" He was interrupted

" Why don't you take it yourself, it's not even on the top shelf." Zhong Hong said

" Oh wait did I say chips I meant biscuits." The girl said whilst trying not to sound irritated.

Zhong Hong gave her an annoyed look because all she wanted was to go home and now this girl is wasting her time.

" Gege ( means brother in Chinese. It's like saying Oppa) can we leave." Zhong Hong said whilst playing with his fingers.

Xiao Zhan was surprised and flattered at the sametime.

" Okay." He said

Zhong Hong smiled and the girl infront of them huffed and left.

" You know you didn't have to be mean to that girl." He said whilst ruffling her hair.

She rolled her eyes and smiled.

This was a side of him she would love to see more often.

The next day their parents came back home to visit them.

Zhong Hong was in the kitchen with her mother preparing launch for the family and the boys were just doing their own things.

" Are there any boys in your love life?" Her mother asked

" No, why?" She asked

" You are in university and still single." Her mother said" do you want to stay single forever?" She asked

Zhong Hong stay quiet.

" Too bad your step brother is off limits." Her mother said whilst sighing and cutting the vegetables.

Zhong Hong stopped mixing the soup and stared at the clock.

" Why would I want my brother." She said

Her mother sighed and looked at her.

" I saw the way you too stared at each other at my wedding." She said

" That meant nothing." Zhong Hong said whilst she lowered her voice.

Her mother looked at her in disbelief.

After the dinner their parents went back.

Zhong Hong went straight to her bed. The next day she got ready and went downstairs. Once she saw Xiao Zhan she remembered what her mother had said to her. She couldn't care less. It's not like the two were in love.

But who falls in love with their step sibling.

She thought.

Than suddenly she heard a dolphin laughing. She turned around and saw her brother laughing at his phone.

Weird

She thought.

She walked up to him and stood behind him. She saw him chatting to someone.

" Who is that?" She asked

The poor boy screamed his heart out.

" Why did you have to be behind me." He said" and it's non of your business."

" Oh I see." She said" does chenie have a crush."

She said whilst mimicking a child's voice.

" Piss off." He said

She laughed at him and grabbed his phone.

" Yah!" Chenle yelled"give it back!"

She shook her head and ran away. Whilst she was running she was about to trip over but someone caught her in time. She looked up and saw Xiao Zhan.

" Finally." Chenle said whilst grabbing the phone from her and walked off.

He let go off her and she became shy. She looked around. Trying to avoid his gaze.

" I-i think I have to go before it's late." She said
