Yume no onajimi : Operation Restoration

-First Spark- Episode 2

As soon as she touched the crystal, the corpse started moving, Glowing red eyes started to gleem underneath the mummy's face. The temple began to shake as the human like creature howls and growls at her. The whole building began crumbling down.

Startled from what happened, Aril immediately sprints back to the entrance of the temple to escape. Evading falling debris as she goes back to her nautilus observer. As she was about to reach the entrance the roof of the temple began to collapse and some debris fell and blocked the entrance leaving Aril trapped inside. "I guess this is the end?" She said as she slowly lost hope. As she was about to sit down and just give up the corpse caught up to her by smashing its way up. The corpse began to attack her, as Aril desperately dodged the attacks she had an idea. She began to lure the creature in order to destroy the debris that is blocking the entrance. She began to get the creature's attention, the creature then began to attack Aril once again and she deliberately dodged every attack. "Just one more!" Aril said as the debris began to crack and as the creature delivered the final blow to the debris, destroying it. Water began entering and dragged the creature away. Aril took the chance to escape. As soon as she reached the nautilus, she started the engine immediately and took off, the whole city began falling. "Whew! I Barely made it out alive! Too bad I only got this one" she said. While still halfway from the long journey. The nautilus observer shook surprisingly. "Hmmm! What was that?! Maybe a shark crashed towards the nautilus or something!" She then ignored it and continued traveling to get back to the surface.

"Warning critical damage on the plasma engine 7! Emergency repair needed!" The alarm repeatedly announced. Aril grabbed the repair tool and went to the engine room. As soon as she was close to the engine room. Huge fire can be seen and thick smoke blinds the vision,making it harder to see what is happening. She quickly grab a fire extinguisher and started putting off the flames.

Mid way while she was putting off the flames. She sensed that someone or something was watching her. Shaking it off she said: " heh! What am I still worried about?" Then she heard a loud growl, coming from her back. As in she looked back she saw the corpse from before. Utterly terrified she stared at the glowing red eyes. Still cannot see from the thick smoke the corpse grabbed her by the neck and was choking her. She then saw the face of the thing that is about to kill her.

Shocked at what she saw, she screamed : "what are you!?" As she stares at a human face that looks infuriated and enraged. As the smoke became thinner and thinner . She then realized that it was a man that was chained by the neck,wrists and ankles. She can see the torso the neck and abdomen and the upper part of the legs have skinned but at the forearm down to the hands wad coated or transformed to a somewhat exoskeleton that is red and glowing. It looks like it is made of metal and also the knee down to the feet of the person was also coated in somewhat similar material. As she was choking to death, almost close to passing out. The crystal from her pocket shone and emitted a bright light, blinding and weakening the monster. Soon shackles appeared and she was released from the choking hands of the monster.

She then grabbed the crystal from her pocket. And held it. For she believed that it could protect her from the monster. She then heard a voice , saying : "you are entrusted with a great responsibility, in your hand the fate of humankind holds. You can become The God or The Devil. First you must awaken the hidden power of the gods!" Then the light disappeared and with it the voice.

She then woke up and saw the person unconscious lying across the room. She then felt a burn on her left hand and saw that there was a strange seal etched on her left hand. She then quickly ran to escaped and locked the door so that the monster can't kill her. As soon as she run a good distance she bumped to the monster. Still unconscious she ran again and as soon as she ran a good distance she bumped to the unconscious monster again.

The monster then woke up and she was terrified. She was frozen by fear. Knowing that it is impossible to run. The monster then slowly walks towards her and grabbed her by the waist. Terrified she then closed her eyes hoping to die in a painless way. As she was waiting for her death, she could hear the monster uttering something. Something she couldn't understand.
