"I long for you.
It kills me to pretend
I'm not in love when I so am
But you don't understand..."

After lunch, Ley went to her office and Can came back to his flat. After opening the door and throwing the keys in the bowl on the table beside the door he went into the kitchen.
The sound of tap-water filling a glass reached every corner of the silent room, Can's eyes on the droplets as he waited for the glass to fill. He closed the tap when the glass was almost full, sipping the water with eyes focused outside of the flat through his kitchen window.
The playground behind his flat had a swing, some kids were on it, laughing and enjoying under the afternoon sun. The seesaw was making a sound as it moved with two four kids on both of its sides, the old rusting thing at the edge of giving up. The sound of their laughs reached Can's ears, the merriment making him sigh.
He washed the glass under the running water and placed it back on the shelf. Coming into the living room he looked around, thinking about ideas that would consume his mind enough for him to stop thinking about a certain date that was probably happening right about that time.
"How about recording a video?" Can asked himself aloud, looking at his equipment on his tea table. He nodded, going in his bedroom to bring out the necessary accessories. He thought about making a makeup video, going all out and doing it part by part.
He sat down on the floor, the camera on the tripod on the tea-table. A smile flashed on his lips, completely professional and perfect for the lens to catch.
"Hi, you all, welcome to my channel iCantaloupe, if you don't know me or have never seen my video then I am Cantaloupe or Can as I prefer to be called. I make random videos on whatever catches my mind. Today I am going to show you a makeup tutorial for a date night or maybe a function? If you are not orthodox enough to cringe at a man doing makeup and going out wearing it, keep watching. If you like it, subscribe to my channel and give this video a big thumbs up..."
Can looked down at his materials and pulled up a moisturizer, "the first step is always washing your face. You need a clean slate, I mean, face," he laughed, "and after that the first step is moisturizing. You always need a base smooth base for your makeup to settle onto. So for that, you need to apply moisturizer. No matter what your skin type is, moisturizer makes..."
He went on, applying primer after that and then foundation, going a little closer to the camera to show how to apply concealer next to hide any pimple or skin abnormality... time went on, the sun setting and evening rolling in. By the time Can was done shooting, he was ready for his own dinner appointment. He closed the camera, thinking that he would edit the video after he came back and going in his bedroom to change.
Can stood in front of his mirror, buttoning his shirt and looking directly at the man standing across from him. Those eyes looked tired, even after applying concealer his dark circles were almost prominent. His face looked paler than normal. Can pinched his cheeks, cursing the blush that did nothing to bring back some colour on those cheeks.
"Stop it," he gritted at himself, face crumbling with irritation, "stop thinking about him. You knew this would happen," the tears welling in his eyes made him loll his head back so they would not roll out and ruin his makeup, "he is handsome, rich and successful. He was going to get married someday. Accept it and stop whining like a pathetic sidekick. Grow up!"
