i groaned at the sound of my alarm. i hit one of the buttons on top to make that thing shut up. i slowly got out of bed and into the kitchen. i was starving.
i grabbed some eggs, enough to feed me and the twins. i cracked them into the bowl and stirred them.
"whatcha makin" i heard a voice say, approaching the kitchen. i looked up to see brody.
"eggs" i said.
"you know that girl that you were hanging out with yesterday, she's pretty hot" he said.
"i know. wait, how'd you know i was hanging out with a girl yesterday?" i asked.
"oh me and dallas were kinda spying on you" he said with a chuckle. i groaned.
"you can't spy on people brody. " i said.
"i know, i know it's just dallas and i wanted to know what it was like to uh" there was a pause in his sentence. "to have a girlfriend" he continued. i laughed.
"it's not funny!" he said.
"brody your nine! don't worry about it. i'll teach you everything you need to know about girls when you get older" i said. he nodded. i put some eggs on the plate and handed it to brody.
"give this to dallas" i said, handing him another plate of eggs. he nodded and walked away.
ding ding
i felt my phone vibrate. i looked down to see a text from cole. it said:
you'll never believe who i ran into today at the market!
a few seconds later i felt another vibration from my phone. my eyes widened as i saw a picture of charlotte, my ex girlfriend. she was caught off guard.

charlotte supposedly moved to new york last month. i wonder what she was doing back here...i replied back saying.
wtf!! isn't she supposed to be in new york??
a few minutes later my phone vibrated again. cole replies back saying.
yeah idk why she's back. anyways do you wanna meet up? i'm headed to the movies in 30 minutes. maybe you can invite those girls from yesterday??
i called jasmine. she answered a few seconds later. we talked about yesterday and i invited her and her friend, jess, to the movies with cole and i. she said it was fine with her. i texted back cole telling him the good news. i headed to my dads bedroom to find him asleep. i sighed and got out a pen and some paper to write a note saying:
hey dad. i know you are gonna kill me for going out without asking, but you are sleeping so peacefully right now. i'm gonna be at the movies with cole and some friends. i'll be back soon. love you

i left it on his nightstand. i took a quick shower then headed to the movies.
cole's pov
i was on the line to get popcorn holding four tickets in my hand. i felt a hand tap my shoulder. i turned around to see jess and her friend jasmine.
"hey ladies" i said.
"heyyy" they replied at the same time.
"what are we watching?" asked jess.
"uh this scary movie called the hunt" i said. they both nodded.
"where is jordan?" jasmine asked.
"she should be here any minute" i said. she nodded.
a couple of minutes later i saw jordan enter the theatre. i motioned her to approach us. she nodded. i had my arm around jess and we were standing next to the ticket man.
"hey" jasmine said, talking to jordan.
"hey" jordan replied, putting her hand around jasmine. we gave the man our tickets and entered the theatre. we luckily entered right on time. the ads just finished playing. jordan and jasmine sat in the seats near the middle while jess and i sat towards the side. jess held my hand as we watched the movie. throughout the movie i couldn't stop staring at her. she was gorgeous. she probably thought i was a creep though. occasionally she would look back at me and smile.
jordan's pov
jasmine squeezed my hand tight as we saw a scary scene. i put my arm around her and pulled her closer to me to help her relax. she looked up at me and smiled. her eyes were illuminating. it was like they were piercing through my soul. i leaned in for a kiss and felt her soft lips against mine. it was like there were sparks all throughout my body. during our kiss i heard a click, almost like a camera shutter. i looked back and saw that the seats behind me were empty. i shrugged it off. i was probably just hearing stuff. we continued watching the movie. occasionally, i would catch jasmine staring at me. i'd smirk at her and she'd blush. gosh this girl was so adorable.
