It was happening all so fast like a dream. The little blurs sliding through and making time turn. The little gears working over the pressure.

Then, all of a sudden, everything just stopped.

The ambulance that was parking in front of the hospital was not wailing. The mothers giving birth stopped pushing. The adrenaline in my body stopped flowing through my veins, giving me empty motion. Everything was still, except for him. He was screaming and flailing like a bird caught in a cage.

A wingless bird. 

I watched as the men in scrubs tried to pull him back, one in front of me and one behind him. It was all so blurry. His free hand reached into his mouth and took something out. A ball point pen with a sharp tip. He fixed his hands so that he could easily stab someone with it. He raised his pale hands and aimed at the nurse in front of him. The nurse dodged leaving me in his place. A sharp white hot pain enveloped my arm. A red warm, liquid enveloped my arm like a blanket. Everything that was frozen thawed, and once again, time kept ticking.

My eyes widened in realization. I didn't even scream from the shock. I looked into faded grey orbs before everything just faded along with my conscious.
