Unpredictable

Part 1

"Hurry up!You're going to be late for school,"my mom yelled as she slammed my door.I was so sleepy,I didn't hear my alarm clock go off.When I looked at the time,it was 7:50!I got up,threw my covers off of me,and ran to get ready.I opened my closet and picked out the first thing I saw,some jeans and a flannel.I put on my beat up black converse and ran outside to my mom's car.I would've left in my pj's,but it was a onesie with penguins which would've been slightly embarrassing.As we drove off,my mom was yelling at me,"Why are you always late?!You need to go to sleep earlier!This is the last time I let you off easy.Do you understand?"
"Yes,"I replied.I got to school five minutes late.I ran to my first class,English, and everyone had just begun settling down so no one really saw that I was late.I quickly went to my seat and saw my best friend,Crystal.
"Oh thank god!"She said letting out a sigh.
"I almost thought you weren't going to come today."
"I'm sorry it's just that I barley got any sleep."
"Well,why didn't you sleep?"
"I was trying to finish my Biology project."Which I worked on two day's before it was due.Probably not the best idea.My procrastination is uncurable.
After that class ended,Crystal and I walked to lunch together.I saw my friend Kyle running to us from the end of the hall,so we waited for him to catch up.He was out of breath and sweaty from running down all those stairs to catch up to us.

"Hi you guys!"He said with loud breaths in between.
"Hey!"We replied.
"I just wanted to ask if you guys wanted to go to a party my cousin,George,was throwing."
I was about to say something before Crystal interrupted me.
" Sure we'd love to go!"
"What?!But I don't think my mom would let me.She's probably still mad at me about this morning."

"Lucky for you,you have me as your bestfriend and you know how much your mom likes me.I'll just ask her and I'm sure she'll let us go."

My mom really did always like Crystal for some reason.I really don't know why.It's kind of sad actually.I think she likes her more than her own daughter.

"Well what do you say?"Kyle asked.

"Um...okay.Hopefully my mom will let me."

"Oh thank god!I was really hoping you guys would say yes."

"Why?"I asked as Crystal danced and cheered in exitement.

"Well,he's going to invite my ex-girlfriend and I don't really want to be alone while she's there."

"Why?Are you afraid of her beating you up again?"Crystal joked.

Their break up was actually really sad.She broke up with him because she saw him tallking to another girl,who by the way was his cousin Margret.She beat him up in the middle of the hallway and everybody saw.I felt really bad for Kyle.He's been made fun of ever since,which was two years ago.

"No!I just don't want her near me.I want to be able to talk to girls without her almost beating me to death.But since you guys'll be there,I know she'll leave me alone."

He was right.His ex,Julie,was scared of Crystal.Ever since this one time in second grade when Crystal broke her nose for making fun of her shirt.Since that day,Julie hasn't come near Crystal.

When school ended,Crystal and I walked to my house.She was going over how she'd ask my mom for permission to go to the party.After lines and lines of questions that made no sense she came up with this."Mrs.Charlie's mom would it be okay if I took your lovely daughter to a party?I will take good care of her and bring her back before bedtime."And of course my mom said yes.

"Oh Crystal,of course you can.You know I can always count on you."My mom said in the sweet soft tone she uses with only people she likes."And don't worry about the time, as long as she's with you I know she's not up to anything that'll get her into trouble."
