Chapter 1 : The First Friends

One Year after the Uchiha Massacre - Academy Playground 

Naruko sat on her swing alone with a saddened face and tears streaming down her face 'Why does the village hate me why does everyone hate me, why am I so alone' she questioned herself, a question she didn't have an answer for depressing her further. Suddenly Ino and Sakura approached her.

'Naruko crying, she never cries' thinks Ino.

'Must be something really bad' thinks Sakura.

"Are you alright" asked Ino and Sakura seemingly simultaneously.

"Yeah of course I am" replied Naruko bluffing and trying to hide her tears. Ino and Sakura both felt some discomfort at seeing this they were so used to the laughing jokester Naruko who always caused trouble and laughed and smiled that seeing her cry was unsettling to say the least.

"Then why are you crying" asked Ino bluntly.

"Yeah why are you crying" asked Sakura.

"I am not" she replied.

"Are too" said Sakura.

This went on for some time when Naruko finally gave up and said "It's just i feel so alone and can you be honest with me do you hate me Ino -Chan and I heard you think I'm annoying Sakura-Chan?"

Ino and Sakura were surprised by this but Ino quickly, firmly and truthfully said "No I don't" and Naruko's face began to light up with happiness.

"Well you do disrupt class and deface the Hokage faces and ..." say Sakura but Ino noticed that Naruko is getting sad again so she elbows Sakura which seemed to mean 'Quit doing that, hurry up and finish'.

"... But your not that annoying" finishes Sakura awkwardly. 'Will she buy it ?' she questioned nervously.

"Really, thanks so much" she said.

Sakura and Ino "😅"

"So can I hang out with you two" she asked.

"Sure" They replied. 

"Thanks so much Dattebane" says Naruko said excited.

Three Years Later - Restaurant

Naruko, Ino and Sakura sat down on a bench at a restaurant and ordered some food. "So Naruko have you figured out the Bushin no Jutsu yet" asked Ino.

"uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." said Naruko trying to stall the answer as much as possible.

"Naruko you can ace everything else but not Bushin no Jutsu?" asked Sakura confused.

"That's because you guys helped me and you both forced me to pay attention to Sensei's boring lessons " she replied.

"You know you can't become a Genin without learning the Bushin no Jutsu" says Ino worried.

"I keep trying and trying but i can't do it, i even asked Iruka Sensei for some tips but I'm not there yet, but i won't give up because it's just one step on the way to becoming Hokage Dattebane" says Naruko.

"Still that Hokage thing" asked Ino.

"Well its my dream" she replied.

"Lets talk about something we all want to talk about" said Ino.

"What is it" asked Naruko and Sakura at the same time both confused.

"Who do you like in class?" Ino asked Naruko. Sakura understood immediately.

"Well I like you, you are my friends" she answered.

Sakura and Ino "😅"

"Naruko that's not what I meant" says Ino.
