Alana's POV
'Yea I understand.' I texted yet again to yet another breakup text. Frankly I was sick of understanding.
Hey my name is Alana. I'm 17 and a Virgo and I had quite my share of "understandings". The sentence that's like two lines above, that's from my latest mistrials. Frankly I give up, there is no one out there for me and I have to come to terms with that. I sighed deeply before turning off my phone and pushing myself up off my bed. Unsure of what to do I stared around my room that was currently illuminated by my dark blue LED lights before walking over to my bathroom.
I took off my bonnent and let my braids fall at my sides, and my butt, those sh*ts was long bruv, before looking at my self in the mirror "I'm not ugly" I muttered aloud getting close to the mirror stretching my face. I took a step back examining my body "That's aight too, maybe if I had boobs someone would stay" sighing deeply I quickly rinsed my face ignoring my 200 skincare products crying for my attention in the process, "tooooo much work" I said securing my bonnent back onto my head and exiting the bathroom. "Welp Alana. I'm sleepy so stop whining and go to bed" I said to myself as i slipped off my pants and tucked myself in. "yes mam" I muttered in reply, quickly drifting to sleep, maybe you fall asleep easier when you're numb.

"ARE YOU DEAF" I woke up abrubtly "huh????" I replied dumbfoundingly to this alien voice yelling at me "I woke you up like three times Alana!" I recognized this alien to infact be my mom looking very angrily at me "Get tuh ass up its 8:40" she ordered, no longer screaming but there was still a distinct firmness in her tone. Reluctantly I flung off my heavenly covers being greeted fully but the chily air coming from my fan "Eek!" I screeched scurring over to my equally cold bathroom. I turned on the water allowing it to warm up for a second as I striped. "You got 15 minutes!" my mom yelled from outside showcasing her bajan accent , this made me rush.

It was now 9:00 and my ride would be here any second. I slung my bag onto my shoulder 'It's so light' I thought to myself.
Our school had just gotten a locker system but I was used to carrying all the books I needed for that day in my backpack. Today all that was in my bag was my phone my laptop and my cosmetic pouch. I headed downstairs and greeted my mom drinking her ritual tea(she drinks the same tea every single morning) "You know is good to have atleast a cup of tea in the morning to get rid of gas, also why the hell you nose pink?"she had left where she was sitting to examine my face closer.
"It's blush mom and I don't like hot drinks"I replied stepping back from her she was wayyyyy to close. "You look like you 'bout to sneeze, it's dum-" thankfully just as she started I heard a honk outside, saved by the horn. "Ok good to know mom bye love you" I quickly kissed her cheek before skipping out the door, I heard her say a quick love you too just before the door shut.
"Get in loser where going to hell" this is Aniya she has been my friend for about 4 years now, we met at the mall and bonded over the chunky filas in a store window. "Yay we're going home." We both chuckled at my comment as I walked around the front of the car getting into the passengers seat. Me and Aniya dated briefly about a year into our friendship but of course that didn't workout, she still liked her ex and chose him over me so here we are.
"Ready?"
I asked buckling my seat belt as she pulled off, "Ready for what?" her brows furrowed and she glanced at me quickly with a confused look before returning her eyes to the road. "The first day back Aniya" I said with an ounce of fustration and humour.
