DEAD HEART

✴Chapter 1✴

Ruler of the underworld, a blood sucking shape shifter has lived over a million years, he lives in a gigantic palace, sleeps all morning in a box and hunts at night, some of the victims that don't die immediately say that he's lifeless and hideous, a walking corpse, without a heart. These were the stories parents told their children.....

Lisa Moonroe stood in the wooden office with her aunt and little cousin Billy getting ready to travel by ship to the other country.
Obviously Billy was not all that happy that his big sister was leaving him
"Mama please tell her not to go", he said sadly. Her aunt was ready to support Billy on the issue
"Lisa........." started her aunt
"No aunt I have to" Lisa responded "I have to........ for Billy"
"But......" Billy said

Lisa knelt down so she was at eye level with Billy
"Listen Billy, buddy, you know I'm going there to get enough money to treat your heart disease" she told him
"You must come back" he said with teary eyes
"I will........,bye" she got on the ship and waved to them as it sailed away from shore.

They sailed for weeks still not getting any closer to the other country. One night there was heavy wind pushing them in the opposite direction the crew quickly got to work then there was a heavy downpour. There was much commotion everywhere because the water was entering the rooms as a result of that they had to be one deck with the captain and his crew including Lisa.

"Captain, what's going on??!" she yelled
"A storm that's what! Everyone hold on to something !" he tells to the rest
They all held on tight, a giant wave hit the ship and it tilted to the side. Lisa held a pole tightly but her arms were getting numb but luckily the crew balanced the ship.

"We're going turbo everyone!" the captain told them "Hold on tight" he pushed the ship and it sped off. Another wave that was bigger than the previous one hit the ship and it tilted again Lisa lost her grip and fell into the deep dark sea.

"Oh no....... help!!Help!!"
But it was too late the water pushed her down and by the time she got up she couldn't see the ship.
"Help......captain!Please help me"

Her legs were getting stiff she whispered faintly
"Someone please help me "

The blood sucking shape shifter got up from his box and inhaled slightly taking in all of his surroundings, his senses were sharper than a normal person, his name was Quan.

He stretched while looking around, his room was clean
"The maids did a good job" he said
He walked out of his room "Old lady!"
The eldest maid, an elf named Stella, came out and knelt down in front of him
"I'm going out take care of the castle" he told her and she nodded. He called for his servant Ben
"Yes master" Ben knelt too
"Keep your eyes open for........." Quan paused and listened, he heard faint whispers it was faint but loud in his head like it was calling him

"Bring my coat" Quan said
He wore his coat and left tracing the sound he was hearing. On his way he had his meal, an old woman and a little boy. He traced the sound he was hearing to the sea
"Its here" Quan looked around finding nothing.
