Chapter 1: Anonymous

[Lea's POV]     

"...for richer and for poorer, 'til death do us part."

NAG-ANAM-ANAM nag tulo akong luha. It should be me in front of my man exchanging vows, walking in the aisle and wearing a long white wedding gown. Feel nako mubuto na akoang dughan sa kasakit. Bastos man tan-awon sa uban pero nigawas ko sa simbahan. I took my car. Wala ko kahibawo ug asa ko padung pero naabot kos lugar nga familiar.

Ug didto akong gipagawas tanang kasakit. One thing is for sure. I still love him! Why? I thought kaya na nako pero nasayop ko!

Troy is a childhood friend of mine. Sood kaayo me. Always me magduwa. Movisit siyas amoa and vice versa. I know deep inside, I felt unusual feeling towards him while nianam mi ug kadako. Wala ko nagpahalata niya kay basig as a sister ra iyang tan-aw nako. I'm good in hiding! We both excelled in class. Top 1 ko dayon siya ikaduha nako. He's competitive. Mao rana among pirmi lalisan. But he has a pure heart. He's genuine. Time flies so fast ug nahitabo ang Love Confession.

Nagkakami ug lipay kaayo amoang parents. Extra supportive! I have a friend named Claire whom I trusted  so much aside from Troy. Siya maoy nahimong bridge nga nagkakami ni Troy. Nagpatabang diay si Troy niya. College to nga time nga medyo busy nako tungod sa akoang kurso labi nas thesis. I took up BS Accountancy while si Troy kay Civil Engineering. Dili nami mag-uban pirmi. Salig kaayo ko niya. Saturdays and Sundays magbisitahan si Troy sa amoa. Like open na kaayo. Kasal nalang jud ang kulang.

One time, someone sent me a picture ni Troy with a girl kissing in the bar. Wala ko kahibawo nga mag-bar diay si Troy. Wala siya muingon nako. Akoang gi-zoom then, boom! It was Claire! My hands were trembling. Nihilak ko. Hapit nako mapuspos ang cellphone. Mga traydor! Troy apologized to me. Wala ra daw to. Bunga ras kahubog. Nitoo rasad ko. Marupok eh! Pero ang cheating dili lang once nahitabo kundi twice, thrice... I GAVE UP! Troy tried to get me back pero gahi ko. I was badly hurt, really. He broke my trust. I never attacked Claire nor confronted her. It makes me more stupid!

3 Years Later...

 Troy texted me. Yeah! I still have his number. He told me to meet him in our favorite spot, sa "Plaza Independencia". Didto nahitabo amoang first date, first kiss, and first holding hands. Memorable kaayo ang place namong duha. Nganong sa tanang lugar adto paman? I missed him. I did! He's still the Troy I loved before.

We had a serious conversation. A little drama. Confrontation and such. He handed me an envelope. Akong gi-open pag-abot nakos balay. A wedding invitation! It was an insult to me! Pero gusto nako ipakita niya nga wala nakoy pake. Dili na big deal nako. Naka-move-on nako. Therefore, i made a decision.

NAKADUNGOG kog mga tingog sa akong palibot.

"Naunsa mana siya?"

"Sa public jud muhilak?"

"Sis basig problemado na siya!"

Nibati kog kauwaw. Wala nakoy igong kusog. Gipanan-aw nakos mga tawo sigeg hilak. I fixed myself kay haggard na kaayo ko and gave a fake smile sa mga tawo nga nagpalibot nako. I returned to my car. Gisugdan naman nako ni therefore akong taposon. Plano nakong mubalik sa simbahan.

But...

I don't know unsay sunod nahitabo. Nimata nalng ko nga naa na sa hospital. It's 14th day of April today. I've been sleeping for two weeks since Troy's wedding? Comatosed. There, I saw a man. Natog sa couch. Wala silas mama. Naay mga sticky note ug boquet sa flower ibabaw sa table. Ang uban nangalawos na. Akong gibasa ang note.

"Please wake up my Princess Lea."

'WHO'S HE??!'
