It's been almost an hour now and I'm still waiting for Carla in front of her house , normally when we are attending a party , Caleb my other best friend is always the DD, But today he had some kind of family dinner or something like that so Carla had no choice but to drive the both of us,but the thing is ,she had spent the night at her dad's place which is on the other side of the town so I had to wait until she gets here which is where she normally lives with her mom .God , now this is getting annoying ,like I can already feel my make up getting all ruined ,not that I'm wearing tons of it, technically I'm not even wearing any, God where the hell is she ? She is so goi-
I'm interrupted by ...... What the hell now? I mentally take note to scold whoever thought they could change my ring tone without my permission before answering the unknown number

" Hello ?" I say uncertainly, silently pleading it's just a wrong number , I'm so not in the mood to socialize right now.
"what's your ass day dreaming about?" I'm a little confused before realizing it's Carla's voice and then it hits me that I'm mad at her ....well ,that sounds weird and how can it be called day dreaming when it's almost 8 pm now?

" What the hell girl , it's been what now ? An hour ? where are you?"

" You are so dramatic " she says letting out a soft chuckle.

"How can you call it being dramatic ,when you left me to freeze on your front porch, or did you find a new best friend and now you want me dead because you are afraid that if she meets me she is going to ditch you for me " I say trying hard not laugh mid sentence like what the hell am I even saying?!

" It's more like ,she said she doesn't share ,and since I know you can't possibly live your miserable life without me I'm here to deal with you...you know for your own good "

" My life is sooo not miserable" I say back

" Are you sure ?" She asks confidently

"Well,it wasn't until you came in it " this is like the worst come back ever because we have known each since like.. forever. Our mothers were college best friends .They were like really close ,even got double weddings,crazy right .Her mom was a week pregnant when mine found out she was pregnant too, except ...she had two me(s) in her , dad's words not mine,he likes saying it that way so we can piss off Mason .My idiot of a twin,and let me tell you ,he really does get pissed,not the get-pissed-and-break-stuff but more like threaten to move to Mars because apparently we don't appreciate his high tech-intelligence but the aliens would ....,yes he's that stupid.

" Dude I have been there since the very beginning'' Carla 's voice snaps me out of my thoughts

" Really? That's probably why my life has been such a dark one " I say matter-of-factly

" Oh please I'm the moon in your darkness "

" I thought you wanted to be that but in Mason's darkness ..or did you finally realize I'm waaay better that is his dumb ass"

" It might be dumb but it's sexy" at least you admit that it's dumb, that's a start .

" And that big ass of yours can't even major up to his perfectly sculptured , tanned torso. ...I mean have you seen his abs-" Hold on should I take that as a compliment ?

" That's too much info that I certainly don't want to hear about my brother, and for my defence my ass is tanned too"I can't believe I said that.

" He is still better. Anyway no matter how much I'd would like to continue defending my prince charming we have a party waiting for us" I mentally take an eye -roll at the prince charming part.
