𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐞𝐝

i sigh rubbing my eyes, i was suppose to be home two hours ago. i look at my phone, it was 10:30 pm. "ms. dolan?" my eyes move from my phone to my assistant. i raise an eyebrow, "yes clara?" she smiled small, "front desk told me to inform you that ethans here with angel." i smile and get up, "did you touch him?" claras eyes widen, "w-what? i'm sorry i don't understand-" i snicker, "calm down clara i'm only kidding. but stop looking at my husband like he's a 5 star meal..i only get to do that." i smile as i past her and the color drains from her face. once i reach the elevator i laugh, and press the down arrow. a ding sound goes off and the elevator opens, i wrap my arms around myself as i step in. "ms. dolan." my eyes quickly scan the figure. i mentally gag, mark roads. "roads," i say softly clicking floor one. "saw your kid downstairs, she's a cutie..like her mom." i roll my eyes but i'm standing in front of him so he can't see me. "she gets her cuteness from ethan, but thanks anyway." mark bites his lip, "uh right.." the elevator rings again and we've reached floor one. we both step out, "bye y/n," mark says as we got opposite ways. i don't say anything to him, i just hum. a smile lands on my face as i see ethan sitting on one of the couches as angel stands infront of him and she's clapping her hands on his knees. he looks up and sees me and a smile lands on his face. i walk over to them, as ethan scoops up angel. "hi babies," i say as i reach them. ethan hands me angel, as i kiss the little girls head. "hey mamas," ethan says softly as he places his lips on mine, which i smile into. "what are you guys doing here...it's late." i say with a smile as i bounce angel in my arms and she giggles playing with my hair. "well ms angel here wouldn't go to bed. so i figured we come say hi to momma." i smile at ethan and lean into him as angel claps her hands. "ethan?" "hm?" "when you get back to work..please fire mark roads. his presence is heart wrenching." ethan snickers and rolls his eyes, "you wanna talk...clara?" i huff and smile, "don't even get me started on her." ethan laughs and kisses the side of my head. i needed this little break from work.
