"Drop your weapons! I won't say it again." Neither of us did. "Merle?" I asked in surprise. He just laughed and came closer, gun still pointed at me. "Hey, asshole! Hold it right there." Maggie said it out loud. He stopped. „You made it." I said to him. Maggie looked at me confused. He went away and put his gun down. We were still pointing ours at him. "Can you tell me... is my brother alive?" I looked at him, and all I could make out was a suspicious "yeah." I nodded slightly. He laughed happily. "Can you take me to him? I will forget everything that happened on the roof." Neither of us answered. He noticed that my eyes fell on his prosthesis on his arm. "Ah, you like it? You can put it like that... it's partly your fault. But I still like it." He laughed. "The fact that we found each other is incredible. Don't you think?"
This conversation was very choppy and tense. Nobody knew who was making the next move. Any one of us three could die in the next moment but it is not known any other way in this situation in the world. You could say that it is normal that people act this way because they want to survive. Fear. Fear of the walkers. But no. People have changed. The whole world had changed. It's like the world is falling into a deep black hole. An infinite hole without end. And the fear of losing what you love the most. That person you don't want to live without. Nice. Really nice. That you say that in an apocalypse. Full of zombies that could bite your shoulder at any moment. Because that's the worst. Watching a person die without being able to do anything about it. The best thing is to be like Daryl. A loner. He doesn't really have any more important people in his life. Sure Merle. His brother. But they grew apart. But Maggie and I-- I knew from the beginning we shouldn't have let it get this far. But I just can't help myself. She's the reason I get up every day thinking life happens for a reason.I stood there thinking. "We can bring him in." He didn't seem too impressed with the idea. He came closer. "Wow, wow stay there" I warned him. "Come on, boy! You can trust me." He said with a smile. I knew he was up to something.
Suddenly his expression changed. He grabbed his gun and shot a car in the middle of us. So we had no choice. I ran behind the car from the right, thinking Maggie was doing the same thing to the left. But all I saw was Merle holding a gun to Maggie's head. "Don't..." I stopped talking. "Put your gun down, buddy," Merle said. I did this because I was afraid for my girlfriend. "Get in the car! You drive, I'll tell you where." He sat in the back seat next to Maggie. He took my gun and he held one to Maggie's head and one to my head. "Go!" he told me. So I drove off.So. That's chapter two. I hope you like it🙂
I don't know how many but there will definitely be 2 or 3 more parts of this story.
