"This is just a nightmare, Gisella. You're going to still survive. Don't worry! Oh my gosh," I chanted to myself.
The demon on my shoulder had gross, leathery skin and two horns on the top of his head. Carved into them was: DEATH TO ALL. He smelled like burning stinky socks.
The other demons were getting closer and closer. "Rorrrg, lllooooorg, die!" they shouted over and over again.
But then I saw white sparkles floating in the air. Someone shouted: "Stop right there!" There was a giant puff of smoke when the sparkles landed. It felt like a cloud and it smelled like cotton candy. The demons began to moan. "Runnnn way..." they screeched to one another. The one on my shoulder gnashed its teeth and leapt into the air. It landed on the back of one of the larger demons. It looked like a parrot on a pirate's shoulder.
They turned around and began to run for the city. As the smoke cleared I could see a unicorn. I would have normally said it was crazy to see a unicorn but after everything I had seen so far it seemed pretty normal.
"Um, hello, what's your name? My name is Gisella. Thank you for saving me!" I said to the magnificent beast.
The unicorn looked at me and said, "Wow! A human!" But then she shook her head and said, "I'm Blissia! You're welcome for saving you."
I heard another voice. It was squeaky and small. "Ahem," it squeaked. "You saving her?"
"Who was that?" I asked in surprise.
Just then I saw a small fairy come out of the pouch on Blissia's back.
"Oh! Thank you," I said. There was an awkward silence. "My name's Gisella. What's your name?"
"My name is Pixella," she said. "Lovely to meet you! Would you like an apple?"
"Yes please, I'm starving! I didn't quite get to eat my popcorn."
"What's popcorn?" they asked.
"Do you have corn?" I said.
"Obviously! Who doesn't have corn?" said Pixella.
"Well, then, just think of it as popped corn!"
"That's... living up to its name, I guess."
"And now imagine it covered with delicious butter and salt!"
Blissia said, "You're making me hungry!"
Pixella chimed in, "Sounds goods! You're also making me hungry. Maybe we should all eat an apple!"
Pixella tossed over an apple to Blissia and me and grabbed one for herself that was a little smaller. I bit the apple. It tasted so good. Like Heaven!
Just then a pale human-looking figure appeared from the shadows. He said, "Um, hello. Are you a human?"
"Yes, my name is--" but just before I could say my name, Blissia scooped me up and Pixella got in the pouch. They turned to thunder away.
"Sorry--we, we, we got to go!" said Blissia.
"Oh, okay," he said sadly.
"What are you doing?" I yelled but by then Blissia had set off. The other human was just a shadow behind us.
Blissia stopped and I got off. I said, "What did you do that for?" Blissia and Pixella looked at each other.
"Well," said Blissia and Pixella, "didn't you see his eyes? He was clearly a demon!"
"Come on, give him a chance!" she said. Somewhat reluctantly, the unicorn cantered back the way they had come.
