Chapter 1: The Cheating Scandal

Eunbi's POV

I woke up from a very good sleep. Today is the quarter finals of the Inter High tournament. This is the very first time our school made it this far into the tournament, so I am very excited.

I wore my team uniform and jacket then went down to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I made some eggs on toast. After my meal, I brushed my teeth and then prepared my bag.

I brought some refreshments and extra towels that I would need during the game. I also brought an extra pair of shoes just in case mine breaks midgame. After I prepared my things, I went on my way to school.

Timeskip

I made my way to the locker room and saw my teammates and coach. It seems like Coach Jun is angry at my teammates. I went in to see what's going on.

"I can't believe that you did this. Do you have any idea how serious this is?!!!" coach Kim said.

"Coach, what's going on?" I asked.

"Eunbi, I'm sorry to tell you, but our team is disqualified from the Inter High"

"Disqualified? Why?! What happened?!"

"A member of the team is caught using performance enhancing drugs"

"What?! Who?!" Eunbi shouted

"I-I'm very sorry Eunbi" said Kaeun.

"Kaeun-unnie?

I can't believe it... I thought you are better than this..." I said.

"I'm really disappointed in you Kaeun. I hope you reflect on what you did. As for the rest of the team, since we are suspended from playing, you can just read what I posted in the Notice Board" Coach Kim said.

I read the paper,

*Due to the removal of player Lee Kaeun from the team, Kwon Eunbi will be appointed as the new captain of the women's basketball team.

*Suspension of member Choi Yena is lifted effective immediately.

I sighed as I read the paper. I guess its time to prepare for my class then.

The bell rings. I went out of class and went to the canteen to eat. I sat alone in a vacant table. While eating, I was joined by Choi Yena.
