You could hardly believe it, your first day heading towards Alola.
You could barely sleep the night before, both due to packing in a whirlwind and double, triple checking what you had, as well as staying awake from excitement for the impending fight towards the sunny shores and whistling breezes of Alola. Those sandy beaches just called for you, for you to be and to be free for one of the first times in your life, and to live day by day rather than from paycheck to paycheck.
You couldn't wait for this new moment of your life to unfold. The excitement of moving somewhere entirely different, to throw yourself into a completely new onslaught of life compared to that of what you were used to. Sure, it was absolutely terrifying, but with the possibility of new friends, even new Pokémon, by your side, it seemed to dull the fear in the pit of your stomach.
Before you knew it, you had gone through baggage checking and were boarding the plane. You had left all of your previous Pokémon in the hands of a certain, great professor. Though it fully broke your heart to see their faces, to watch them as they attempted to follow you, you knew that it was mostly for the better, as it would take them longer than you to fully grow accustomed to the surroundings that you were destined to land in.
Looking about the cabin, you grinned, seeing as some moved about the cabin in a quiet, yet understanding, bustle. Pokémon were out of their Pokéballs, allowing you to see some that you had never seen before. Of course, none of them were too extravagant, like a Wailord or an Onix. Just smaller ones, Dwebbles, Skittys, and even some regional starters that that professor had filled you in on, as they were apparently different from region to region. Some even with different colorations than what you were used to, such as a Meowth with a sheen, dark grey fur, which was comfortably curled up in its owner's lap. It looked very content, but as you drew your eyes away, you shut them, thinking about all of which you could find in this new adventure of yours. Were you ready? Only time could truly tell.
Soon enough, the bustle ended, as well as the short conversations going on around you, as a crystal clear voice came over the airplane's overcom.
"Attention all passengers! The flight set for Alola will be landing in ten minutes. Be assured that you and your loved ones are strapped in if you are not already, and be sure that all mobile devices and overhead carry-ons are stowed away in the provided overhead compartments. Thank you, and welcome the the shining, crystal shores of Alola!" As she spoke, your attention was torn to motions around her left shoulder. Much to your amusement, a Cinccino sat upon it, and quickly copied her movements as she spoke. Whether this was to communicate the message to the Pokémon as well, you had not the slightest idea, but even if that was the main goal, they both carried your attention.
Peeking out of the window besides you, the feeling of how different this world is to that of the one you had lived in set in. The warmth of the setting sky, and the crystal-like waters filled you with exhilaration with how vast and how long they stretched. It felt as if you could, if you tried hard enough, to see to the very bottom of the ocean. It carried on and on, as you saw pinpricks of Pokémon diving and gliding in and out of the water, as if they could carry on for the rest of their lives doing so in complete bliss.
Gliding your hand over the Pokéballs that were secured tightly to your belt, you smiled to yourself. 'I can't wait wait until I land, this is the next day of my life, and I can't wait to see what lies in store for me.' Grinning wider, you hummed to yourself, hoping that you had made the right decision to move from your hometown to here as soon as the opportunity was given to you by the professor of your hometown.
