Chapter 9

Taehyun's POV

We both were studying for our upcoming math test. It's not that hard but starting your tests with math is really stressful. Also Yuri is sitting right next to me and I can't forget what just happened between us moments ago. Uff embarrassing. My heart is still beating frantically. I was about to have my first kiss with the person I have been in love with. But my mom had to ruin it. Sad!!

I tried to concentrate on my studies. I was practicing some algebra when I felt uneasiness in Yuri. She was probably also occupied with the situation that happened before. So I tried to ignore her and give her some personal space.

But not after too long,I felt a tight grab in my forearm which caused me to look up instantly. I immediately froze at the sight.

Yuri was a sweating mess. Her skin was damp from the salt water. Her hair was wet and stuck on her forehead. Her eyes were red as hell and they were watery and twitching every now and then.

I was so confused about what happened to her so suddenly. She was all well minutes ago. I gently grabbed her by the shoulders and asked,"What happened Yuri?"

But she couldn't answer. Instead her whole body started shaking furiously and I could easily tell she was having hard time breathing.

I shook her one more time. But she didn't change. I hold her hand but it was ice cold. She was shaking her head for God knows what. She was indeed not well and was trying to tell me something.

I almost had a panic attack when she tried to say something but nothing came out of her mouth except for some muffled moan. Oh my God. What happened to her? Why is she not speaking? I guess she wasn't hearing me too. Cause I asked her a lot of questions. She didn't answer one.

As I was panicked,thinking what to do,whom to call for help,her grip on my arm got loosened and she passed out on my arms.

I picked her up bridal style and shouted to call my mom for help. She immediately rushed upstairs and seeing Yuri, unconscious,lying in my arms,she too became panicked.

"Oh my Taehyun!! What happened here? What did you do?" She asked me,horrified.

"I didn't do anything. She collapsed suddenly. Now hurry up and bring out the car. We need to go to the hospital." I explained shortly.

God knows what happened to my Yuri,but I really hope it's nothing serious. I rushed to the car with Yuri in my arms. We hurriedly made our way to the hospital.

After arriving we quickly called some nurse and admitted her to the emergency unit.

I was almost in a verge of crying but I decided to let it pass as I don't want my mom to see me crying for a friend. Ofcourse she has probably gotten the idea that I like her but still.

I don't know anyone from her family. The only person I know is Beomgyu who's her neighbor and also her best friend. So he must know about her condition. Therefore I called him. Speaking of Beomgyu,I didn't see him probably in a week or more? Also I heard he was sick too.

"Hello?" Beomgyu's voice echoed through my ear.

"Yeah Beomgyu. I'm Taehyun."

"Hmm I know it's you. What's it? You didn't call me nearly in a week?" He asked coldly.

"Yeah it's because I am busy studying." I tried to defend myself.

"As if I don't know what you were occupied with!" Beomgyu murmured something but I couldn't hear.

"Sorry I didn't hear you?" I said.

"Nothing. So what's the deal?" He asked me.

"It's about Yuri. She's in the hospital near your house-" I was cut halfway through my words. Beomgyu had already hung up. I don't know what's wrong with him.

I put my phone in the pocket and saw the doctor coming towards. I nervously went to him and asked how was Yuri.

"She's now resting. It's nothing to worry about. She's stressed and we gave her a shot so she can sleep. But as per your informations I suggest to make her go through some medical tests. You can do it later though. I suggest to have a CT scan. It's nothing just to make sure she's doing fine." He smiled and left me there.

"Ahhh what a relief!!" I sighed and made me sit down on the chair.

Beomgyu's POV

"It's about Yuri. She's in the hospital near your house-" I immediately hung up the phone and rushed towards my car.

What the heck that jerk do to my Yuri? Why's she in the hospital?

I could feel the tears threatening to fall anytime. But I gathered my strength. Nothing bad happened to her. I believe. Please wait for me Yuri.

I was feeling awful for ignoring her for the past days. What if it's all because of me?

I drove to the hospital as fast as I could and ran to the receptionist.

"Yes how can I help you?"

"My friend, Kang Yuri is here. Can you please tell me her room number?"

"Yes please wait a second. She's in the 2nd floor,room no 205."

I rushed towards the elevator but it was too occupied so I decided to run upstairs by the stairs.

When I was finally there,I saw Taehyun sitting in a corner,closing his eyes.

My Yuri is sick and she's in the hospital bed,and this jerk here is resting? What a peasant!!!

I ran up to him and dragged him up by his collar. He jolted his eyes open.

"Woah woah mind what you're doing Gyu!" He said roughly pushing my hands away.

"Where's Yuri? What happened to her? Did you do something wrong?" I bombered him questions.

"Relax. It's nothing. The doctor said she's out of danger and resting. Can you just calm down? Yuri is my friend too." He said crossing his arms.

"That's good." I breathed out the air in my lungs that I was holding for too long. "But can I see her?"

"Sure. The doctor said she needs to stay here for a day. I took her here so I'll now hand her to you. You can stay here with her. I'll take my leave." He said patting my shoulder.

At this he went out and I decided to take a look at how Yuri is doing.

"I know Beomgyu,you like her. It shows. You've made it harder for me to win her. But I hope she chooses me over you."

Finally Beomgyu's POV after two chapters(?) Haha sometimes I forget who the main character is here!😅😂
