You're my destiny(On Hold)

Hurt

Destiny.

An event that will inevitably happen in the future.

I've never really believed that crap. As far as I cognise, one can always change their future. Fate is a ludicrous concept created by humans as an excuse for their actions.

These were my thoughts as I sat in my history class reluctantly writing this lousy piece of information in my purple notebook as my teacher continued with her irksome lecture.

Before she could feed us anymore of this irrelevant information I put my hand up from my seat to speak.

"What is it Areum?" Miss Park raised her eyebrows.

"I don't agree with you" I said bluntly with a smile.

Miss Park gave me a what the hell do you mean look and I continued,"This thing about destiny,I think this is all a false concept-" I said shrugging "-I mean come on! I can literally create my future by choosing my actions accordingly...If I want I can end my life right now and change my so called 'destiny'"I said making inverted commas with my fingers.
"Or I can just study my ass off and get a million dollar job in a popular company, So I am the one who can change my life. It has nothing to do with faith or destiny!" I finished and looked around to see the whole class staring at me passing weird looks.

Miss Park sighed and looked at me.

"Is that what you think?" She asked smiling and I nodded in response.
"Well, we all have different ways to perceive things, but I believe you'll get my point one day."

Ha! As if! I'm talking from experience woman!

But I didn't say that out loud instead I sat down on my seat quietly and impatiently waited for this tedious class to get over.

It's true though. If I want I can change my life in seconds. People are not bound to do stuff and there is no fixed path they have to walk on. It's our choices that shape our life.
You can choose to live or die. Love or leave someone. It all depends on what you choose. Nothing in life is meant to be and that is a fact!

As I was lost in my thoughts I heard the bell ring signalling the class was over. I quickly collected my stuff and practically shoved it in my bag.
I walked out of the college inhaling the fresh air.

It was a sunny day and the fine dust level was very low so I didn't bother wearing my mask as I walked towards my car.

I was really exhausted so I rushed back home as fast as I could. I climbed up the stairs to my apartment playing with my keys when it fell. I frowned and bent down to pick it up but another hand reached for it. Our fingers touched and a familiar shiver ran down my spine. I knew this feeling.

I gulped and looked up ,my eyes popping out of socket.

It was him.

"Areum" He said with his intense voice smiling.

A sharp pain shot through my body.

My heart hurt
