The next day

Steven didn't come to school that day.

At lunch

Imogen: hey has anyone seen Steven?

Shawn: he probably skipped school to finish up what he hacking. I should've done the same too it seems. Whoever did this most likely made it up. We'll go over to his house after school.

After school

They reached Steven's house only to be welcomed by his crying and hysterical mother.

Olivia: my son! Where's my son! Tell me where my son is!

Silvester: please calm down before the neighbours start yelling again.

Keith: um, is this a bad time?

Silvester:(notices them) oh, you're here, quietly go to my study before -

Taylor:(bursts in) I always knew you guys were gonna be the end of my boyfriend! Last night Steven came home looking like he hadn't slept in decades, then this morning he doesn't even make it to school!

I swear f anything happens to him I'll kill you all then kill him too for not listening to me when I told him not to join your crazy detective club for-

Silvester:(covers her mouth and restrains her from attacking) hurry!

Shawn: you heard him, let's go.

Silvester's study

After about 20 minutes the place became quiet and Silvester joins them.

Silvester: and I thought I had awful tastes in women. That girl's crazier than my wife!

Shawn: you haven't seen the half of it. Anyway what the hell happened this morning?!

Silvester: well, when we woke up, I surprisingly met Steven awake, which is weird since I always have to blow a horn to wake him. Anyway, he looked pretty worked up, probably about whatever he was working on, he looked worse than when he came home.I'd expected him fall asleep the second he entered his room, seeing as he came home Past midnight-

Nicholas: past midnight?! I thought we separated like 6 pm?

Keith: yeah and it wasn't even dark out yet,he even left earlier than we did!

Shawn: he must've gone to a library to make further research, it's the only logical explanation for this. But that still doesn't explain how he ended up missing.

Silvester: he did take a different route than usual, he normally follows the back alley since it's the shortest route to school. But today he followed the alley down the street, which is mostly crowded, it was like he was avoiding something.

Shawn: or someone. Did he take a laptop with him?

Silvester: I'm not sure, but he was definitely in a hurry, he didn't even have to be told to do anything, when he didn't show up after school, his mother went crazy.

She called him over and over again but he never picked up,I tried tracking his phone but before I could get a location the battery died. Then when Taylor came here looking for him because he apparently was supposed to be her partner for something and wanted to make sure he was alright, when I told her he was missing, all hell broke loose.

She nearly tore the kitchen apart, and me with it. Then she locked herself up in Steven's room and didn't come out till you guys showed up.

Imogen: and people say I have bad taste in relationship partners, how do you live like this?!
