Roaring thunder was heard as his sword soared through the sky and impalled the enemy's head.

Igris, with his majesty's eyes in the back, walked calmly to the downed entity and pulled his sword out.

(His.)

With one fast movement the head was rolling in the air and caught with one hand.

With grace Igris walked confident to his majesty, falled before him on one knee and presented the enemys head.

(Do you agree, my sovereign?)

And his king smiled.

So he agreed.

(Forever his.)

His King walked around him to meet the rest of the shadow soldiers who brought spoils of war to their leader.

Iron was bolsterous and heaved a giants head behind himself, aiming to please his sovereign.

(Iron was new. He would not understand. So it was acceptable.)

His king went to the piles of corpses littered around and gathered his power.

It was intoxicating.

"A r i s e."

Mana whirled in the air, coaxed the souls of the deceased out of the abyss with sweet promises of purpose.

And all the shadows bent their knees for their one and only monarch.

(Because a long, long time ago, warriors brought the head of the enemy as a present home to their partner.)

(It was a symbol of power, of their standing.)

(It was a token of strength.)
