"You see these?"
You lift up your leg to show off your obnoxious glittery pink rollerblades which earned an eyebrow raise from a confused but ever amused Yoongi.
"This is proof that I know what I'm doing."
"Wait, do those light up?"
You scoffed at his question, offended that he'd doubt your credibility. "Like I said–" you lightly kicked on the ground, making the flashing rainbow colours of the wheels light up as they rolled in their place.
"–I know what I'm doing."
Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head at your questionable antics before tying his own shoes that were far less bedazzled than yours. "You're unusually excited about this."
"I just can't believe you've never went to roller disco before!" You grabbed his arm and helped him onto his feet without toppling backwards. "I used to go ALL the time when I was younger, hence the shoes. Never thought they'd still fit though."
When the two of you stepped onto the skating rink, your eyes lit up. Everyone was laughing and circling the dimly lit area on their skates as classic tunes were blaring on the speakers. A glimmering disco ball shone in the center of it all, the blinding pink lights matching your skates. The thought of getting to spend this part of your childhood with the person you loved gave your heart a warm ache and your face a soft smile.
You turned around only to giggle at the sight before you. Said 'person you loved' was gripping onto the railings for dear life with shaky legs, scrunched up nose, and a disgruntled expression.
"Need help?"
Yoongi grinned shyly, gummy smile on full display as he reached for your outstretched hand. "Thanks." He said latching onto you. "I'm gonna warn you though, I'm not the best at this..."
An hour went by as you taught Yoongi how to rollerblade without looking like a newborn deer. He fell down a couple times, you laughed a lot and he blushed whenever you did.
"God, I'm terrible at this." He giggled, hugging your upper arm for support. "Sorry, for ruining your nostalgic childhood reminiscing moment."
You shook your head with a smile, taking his hand off you to lace your fingers together . "I don't think you're capable of ruining a single day in my life, Yoongi." A breathy laugh came from the utterly endearing boy next to you.
"What?" You chuckled, "Too cheesy?"
Yoongi nodded, still giggling with pink dusting his uplifted cheeks.
"Yeah well, you're stuck with me so you better get used to it."
