(skim over this a/n please)

Yo , ain't normally going to put a/n at the start cause like it's annoying, but there's a wee part o this chapter further down that could come across as homophobic regarding "love being between a man and a woman" ( can't remember if those are the exact words I used) but I mean it stereotypically, because I'm talking about movies and like especially 10 years ago there was little homo depictions of love blah blah.

So just wanted to make sure that when you get to that part yall know I'm not being homophobic, before you go hating on my newbie ass, like fuck this story gonna be gay asf so don't worry luv, and there's going to be more homophobia and shit but it's just part of the story, gotta pull a plot outta somewhere

Now enjoy this shitty chapter <3 UwU

Parties nearly every weekend was something Taehyung, along with the rest of the, 'squad', shall we say, had grown accustomed to. Taehyung knew he was a lightweight when it came to alcohol, so he rarely drank more than a beer or two. (You know, and he'd rather have his own liver when he graduated.)

Sometimes he wished Jimin would turn to him right before they left their dorm to go party, and ask Taehyung if he just wanted to stay in, order takeaway and watch Netflix.

But no. Jimin never offered. Jimin looked sweet and soft, but anyone who knew him half well knew he could be pretty damn hard (of course he was soft lil' mochi at heart). He lived for parties, his and Taehyung's dorm was far too small to host one of their own, and the last time someone decided it would be a good idea to have a party in school property, six people were suspended and three expelled, so Jimin made sure to make it to every one that was held in a 6 mile radius.

Their parties, most commonly hosted by Namjoon, were invite only (which lasted for about a half hour until everyone was so drunk they could no longer decipher faces from those they knew to those who were using them for free shots). But Taehyung and Jimin were always on top of the invite list anyway, everyone in the basketball team was.

The basketball team was worshipped. Worshipped by students, teachers *cough* girls, they were the best in Busan. Regionals hadn't came round yet, but they were for sure going to wipe the floor with the other schools in the area, and make it to nationals in Seoul.

Taehyung mightn't have been the #1 on the team, but he was good, and it was on the short list of things he genuinely enjoyed.

School was NOT on that list.

Taehyung was shipped off to boarding school the day, sorry, *day after he turned twelve (it truly was a most heart felt gift, from his oh so loving parents).

Supposedly being sent nearly 100 kilometres away from home, would teach Taehyung 'independence' and give him the opportunity to display his true potential. Why couldn't he just do this in a regular private school, back in Daegu? Who knows?

Busan boarding (unofficial name) was for three main categories of kids (also unofficial):
1. The Smart ; we're talking like fucking Einstein, Stephen hawking, Isaac Newton kinda smart, these kids got scholarships, scholarships that WEREN'T easy to get!
2. The Brag ; snooty rich parents, who want to show off their money by walking down the street, arm linked with a child adorning the untarnished crest of the school.
3. The No one Wants You ; children who had rich enough parents for them to pay the ridiculous school fees, only so that they could be rid of their burdens.
