Joey Drew Studios was a normal animation studio at that time. There were other regular animation studios as well as Joey Drew's. But Joey saw his creation of his work as his dreams come true. All of his staff members remember the first time Joey saying that belief makes dreams come true. But Joey had much more dreams, waiting for them to come true.

This is where the story starts.

After a few successful years at the studio Joey had become older and his medical condition (temporary muscle strength loss) was effecting him more. But he didn't hesitate to begin his plan for the studio. Joey decided to make the plan a surprise for the public which meant more money coming in. Joey had begun to go down the wrong path.

Joey had informed his top engineer (Thomas Connor) and janitor (Wally Franks) to work on his plan. Joey had wanted to make his own characters come to life and interact with the public. But when the two heard this they wanted Joey to do something else and less advanced/technical, but Joey would open to them.

Wally: 'Joey, first of all the amount to pipage we need to put around the studio is through the roof.'

Thomas: 'Literally, and we're not trying to be funny here. We're being serious.'

Wally: 'AND it would take a miracle to make living creatures out of ink. How do you expect us to do this with little advanced technolog-'

Joey: 'I DON'T CARE HOW YOU DO IT! As I say all the time "Belief can make your dreams come true" & I believe that this will succeed. Do you understand?'

Both: 'Yes Joey.'

Many months passed as Wally & Thomas worked on the machine to "make Joey's dreams come true". Joey had recieved many complaints of ink leakage around the studio, but he didn't care. His strength to keep him standing fell slowly. More of his muscles around his body became effected by the condition. He barely could lift anything or stand properly. He had small heart failures due to those muscles having small failures. But Joey blew all his money to make sure he was alive when the machine he asked for was complete. He'd suddenly become attached to this machine. By the time the machine was complete Joey appeared in a wheelchair.
When Joey first layed is eyes on the machine it was being cleaned after a small test. (that Joey has asked for to make sure it was running to Wally & Thomas's satisfaction before he inspected it) He was amazed of what his workers had created.

Joey: 'Just as I imagined, now turn it on will you.'

Thomas: 'But Joey, we need to check the parts again as we had to do for the first test we did. It could go wrong if we didn't.'

Joey: 'May I remind you Tom that I'm in charge of this studio and I'm able to fire you this very second. If you wish to keep your job I'd suggest you follow my orders and turn the machine on.'
Joey had gone mad with the machine. He once was a kind and encouraging person and boss. But when he got his medical condition and made the plans for the machine he went insane.
Thomas cared about all the staff and Joey but since he threatened to take his job from him he obeyed Joey's command and turned the machine on.
The machine activated at once, the gears spun fast and piped rattled as the ink flowed through it. The tube at the front of the machine spat out thick ink and runny ink following it. Joey frowned at first.

Joey: ' I thought I said clearly that I wanted to make these ALIVE?'

Thomas: 'I'll need to double check the break and pump room to be sure.'

As Thomas left Joey alone in the ink machine room Joey pulled his wheelchair closer to the ink machine. he went to push a loose gear back into it's spot but before he could the thick ink started moving and attempting to give it's self a form or a shape. Joey watched as the creature slowly managed to make it's self limbs and stand up. Joey's upper body fell limp in an instant.

Joey: ' I guess this is where I leave this human form.'

Joey smiled as the ink creature lunged at him and covered him and the area around him with ink. When the ink cleared only the machine and Joey's wheelchair was still in sight.

But Joey himself was nowhere to be seen.

--------

Wally sighed as he reached further into the open chest of the dead Boris. (From the first time the ink machine was used) He pulled his arm out and in his hand was a dead ink heart.

Wally: 'How does Joey expect an ink creature to live with out a soul?'
Wally placed the heart back into the Boris. He sighed a second time. He reached down to grab the needle and thread to close the Boris's chest but when Wally picked up the needle the floor went pitch black. He stood up in an instant in shock. the rest of the walls went pitch black.

Wally: 'I swear if Thomas is playing a prank on me, I'm outta here.'

X: 'Oh now, Thomas wouldn't do something stupid like THIS you know'

Wally suddenly turned around to find a black creature staring back at him. But Wally couldn't see any eyes. It was way taller then Wally, almost up to the ceiling. It's whole body was black with some strange black gooey substance. On the lower half of it's head only a small part was revealing a big evil grin. A lopsided bow tie was just underneath it's neck. On it's right hand was a glove which looked like a cartoon character, only this time covered in the same essence as it's body.

Wally: 'What the HECK are you!?'

Wally was then grabbed by his collar and lifted off the ground by the creature. Then the creature grabbed Wally's jaw with it's other hand and looked into Wally's eyes. Wally tried to scream for help but his lungs were being filled with ink. he coughed up his blood as more ink was being forced down his throat. He took one last breath as a mixture of blood and ink was vomited out. His limp body was smashed against the board the Boris was being dissected on. The creature disappeared as more blood and ink spilt across the floor. It spilt across the room as it reached the sewn-up Boris.

It's eyes opened.

----------

Thomas ran back to the ink machine room to see if Joey was fine, (After having to fix the jammed pump valve) he stopped before he reached the ink machine room. The pile of blood and ink spread out to the hallway. Thomas said to himself to not go into the room but something else told him to go in.
The entire floor was covered in blood of Wally and ink that was forced down his throat.
A shiver when down Thomas's spine as he walked closer to the smashed wood which was covering hopefully Wally. But his hopes weren't help up for long. He slowly lifted the wood off Wally.

Thomas: 'Wally?......Are you ok- OH GEEZ!'

Thomas jumped back as he saw what happened to Wally. His entire face face covered with ink. Small amounts of blood was still creeping through Wally's mouth and nose. A broken piece of wood from the board has inserted into Wally's chest. Thomas felt the urge to vomit of the sight of what he saw. He ran directly to exit but he was grabbed by his shirt. Thomas didn't dare to look and see what had grabbed him, he was still freaked out of the sight of the remains of Wally.
Ink was suddenly forced again into Thomas's face but he manged to duck and get himself out of the creature's grip. But he slipped from the ink and slammed his head into the corner of the wall. Thomas was too weak and hurt from his head to get up and continue running.

X: 'So how do you like the new & improved Joey Drew, Thomas?'

Then the last thing Thomas remembered was a sharp blade going through his left arm....
