Annie woke up on Sunday, May 17th around 10 am. It had been only four days since her and Asher broke up. She took a moment to breathe and sort out her thoughts before getting out of bed. After getting up, washing her face, brushing her hair, and all that jazz, she walked downstairs to find her mom and Hayley eating breakfast. "Morning Annie." Hayley greeted. "Good morning Annie." Katie said as she walked over to hug her daughter. She had been extra affectionate and careful with Annie for the last few days. Annie sat down at one of the chairs that was pointed towards their computer. Katie brought over a plate with an English muffin sandwhich with egg, cheese and bacon. "Thanks mom. Love you." Annie said to her mother as she took the plate. Hayley brought over a cup of juice. "You're welcome." She said to Annie as she placed on the table beside her. They watched an online church sermon, soemthing that their mom had decided was a good idea, especailly since they had nothing else to do. As Annie ate and listened hummed along to the worship songs on the screen, she allowed herself to forget about Asher.
Kenzie awoke at 1 pm, she had stayed up untill almost 4am playing the sims on her laptop, and felt her computer beside her, on top of her covers. She had forgotten to turn it off, and so it had died at some point in the night. Kenzie shivered as she looked down to see that she too was on top of the covers. She decided to get up. She walked over to her closet and put on an oversized hoddie overtop of her pyjamas. She made her way into the kitchen and grabbed herself some cereal. She sat down on the couch and turned on the T.V.. It was on the news channel. "President Trump has proposed a new plan for re-opening the country, as advised by health-care advisers and the World Health Organization." Kenzie switched the channel and came across Disney Channel, it was replaying a rerun of Good Luck Charlie. She happily watched through the remainder of the episode, being happy to remember a time when she would watch shows such as these with other people. Being in the company of human beings other than her mother, step-dad and sister had become a novel concept over the past few months. The episode ended, and Kenzie figured she may as well wait and see what would play next. She regretted it, of course, the moment it showed an all too-familiar face. She quickly changed the channel as the "Stuck In The Middle" themesong played. She put away her dishes and decided to go find Maddie. She walked into her sister's room. "Kenzieeeeee" Maddie said as her sister walked over and plopped down onto her bed. "Hey" Kenzie replied. "How are you?" Maddie asked. Kenzie shurgged, knowing that Maddie was asking about a very specific area of her life. Maddie put down her phone and rolled over to hug her sister. "I love you." She said. Kenzie smiled. "You too."
Jayden woke up at 9 am to the light coming through her window. She grabbed her phone and scrolled through her Instagram explore page, skipping over edit after edit of her and Armani. She DM'd Kenzie, knowing that she had just gone through a breakup as well. No response. Undertsandable. It was next to impossible to be on Instagram at a time like this. All of your feed, explore page and tagged photos were flooded with breakup edits. She messaged Annie next, knwoing that her and Asher had just broken up a few days ago. Annie didn't answer either. Jayden went to the bathroom and freshened-up before heading into the kitchen for breakfast. "Good morning Jay." her dad said. Jayden smiled at him and mubled a "good morning" back. She gathered herself some fruit and toast before sitting down at the table. "Where's mom?" she asked her dad. "She's getting groceries. She left about half-an-hour ago, so I suspect she won't be back for another hour or so." He told her. Jayden sighed at the state of the world, her eyes glazing over as she stared at the T.V., reporting something about coronavirus. Of course, that wasn't saying much, absolutely everything was about the pandemic these days. After she finished eating, she went to check the views on her new music video "Jelous". She became a little sad after watching it. In the background of the video, she realized there were still pictures of the very person she had written the song about on her mirror. She walked over to her mirror and started removing the pictures she had taken with Armani. Around noon, she got a notification that Annie had responded, and they talked a little while. Annie had mentioned how crazy it was that they had both broken up at the same time, and Jayden mentioned how Kenzie had just gone through a breakup as well. After that, Jayden got an idea.

J: Hey guys. I figured since we're all going through breakups right now, maybe we could help eachother and just be people to talk to, even if it has to be online :/
A: Aww, thanks Jay, that's so sweet of you.
1:43 PM
K: Hey guys, I just woke up lol, but that sounds great.
J: Lol, how did you sleep in so late?
K: I stayed up super late playing the sims on my laptop
J: How late?
K: It was like 3:54 when I last remember seeing the clock...
A: Oh wow. Speaking of the sims? Should I get it? I've been really bored and know especially I really want something to take my mind off of things.
K: YESSSSS, definetely get it. But be warned, you WILL become addicted.
A: haha, okay I'm downloading it now.
K: I heard about you and Asher btw, how are you?
A: I'm okay, it wasn't so much the breakup as the stuff that happened after with Asher's mom.
K: Oh yeah I heard about that. That sucks. Hbu Jayden?
J: I'm okay... I think he was pretty upset about me releasing the song though.
K: He shouldn't be! Literally everybody's songs are based on real life experiences. Besides, you never outright said it was about him.
J: Yeah I guess, but it was pretty obvious.
A: What about you, Kenzie?
K: Well I was doing okay, but I was watching Good Luck Charlie today for the memories and Stuck In The Middle came on right after it, so that kind of set me back.
J: Aww, I'm sorry. Ya I've barely been able to open Instagram because of all the fan edits that are flooding my pages.
A: Me too, and now I've been seeing Hannie edits mixed in with them all as well.
J: Aw, that's too bad. Why don't why make a group chat on regular Messages? Just so that we don't have to log in to Instagram to talk to eachohter.
K: sure
J: Alright, I'll make one and then we can text in it whenever, but what if we set a time to video call or something?
A: That would be great! I would love to see some different faces for a change.
K: Me too
J: How about tomorrow at 4?
J: and not 4 am, Kenzie
K: lol okay
A: I'll be there.
