Kenzie was waiting in the passenger seat, of Maddie's car. Maddie sat beside her. "So how long will you guys be gone?" She asked. Kenzie shrugged. "I'm not sure. We're gonna walk to the meadow, which takes about half an hour, and then we're gonna sit and chill there for a while. I'll call you when we're about to start heading back so you can leave then." she told her sister. Maddie nodded. "Just make sure to keep you distance. You've got to be healthy enough to go out and promote your new song once it's allowed." Kenzie smiled. "Oh my gosh! I'm so excited about that." Kenzie said. "Since it's with Sia they might even play it on the regular radio stations." Maddie suggested. "I doubt it." Kenzie retorted. "You never know." Maddie replied with a smile. Ding Kenzie looked down to her side where her phone was displaying a text from Annie, a few seconds later another text came through from Jayden. "K, I gotta go." Kenzie told her sister. She took her phone and slung her small backpack over her back. She got out of the car after saying goodbye to her sister. She spotted Annie getting out of a car across the street. "Hi, Annie!" She called out. Annie looked over to where Kenzie was standing and waved. She turned back to say goodbye to her mom before crossing the street to where Kenzie was. "Hey Kenzie." She greeted. "Hi Annie. I haven't seen you in so long." Kenzie said. "Yeah I know it's been months... well I guess it's been months since I've seen anyone." Annie added as she laughed. "Helloooo!" A voice called out. Kenzie and Annie turned around to see Jayden walking towards them with a lunchbag in her hands a well as a foldout chair under her arm. "Ugh, I forgot to bring a chair." Annie complained. "It's okay, there are some rocks there that can be pretty comfortable." Kenzie told her. "Did you bring your speaker?" Jayden questioned. "Ugh, I totally forgot." Annie answered. "Good thing I have it." Jayden said. "Huh?" Annie asked. "You left it at my house a few months ago, so I decided to bring it." Jayden explained. "Well good thing. I didn't even realize. I got distracted on Instagram after I said I was gonna go charge it." Annie said. "Anyways." she trailed off. "So should we get going?" Kenzie suggested. "Ya let's go!" Jayden exclaimed. They started up the path, trying not to walk too close together, talking and laughing along the way. After about 30 minutes, they reached a small clearing just off the path. "This is it." Kenzie announced. They walked off of the path and into the clearing. Jayden unfolded her chair and sat down. She turned on the spekaer and hooked it up to her phone. Kenzie opened her backpack. "So I brought some packaged snacks if you guys want them." she said. "Did you bring hand sanitizer?" Jayden asked as she rubbed her own hands together with the alcohol hand wash that she had brought for herself. "Yep." Kenzie replied as she tossed out a bottle of hand sanitizer. They all took some and then grabbed one of the granola bars and fruit rollups. "These are so good." Annie told them. "Ya, I haven't had packaged snacks like this from the outside world in months" Jayden said. "My mom is trying to eat all healthy and I've been folowing along." She went on. "Well I haven't been able to get ahold of any junk food in my house either, as soon as I find anything, Hayley will just run over and take it from me." Annie laughed. "Okay song requests?" Jayden asked them. "Ooo I have a really good one!" Kenzie said. "Okay what is it?" Jayden questioned her. "Okay so it's this entire EP called "What Really Matter" by this amazing 15 year old girl named Jayden Bartels." Kenzie teased. Jayden rolled her eyes. "No actually! You should play it, I love all of the songs." Annie chimed in. Jayden sighed and then put the album on shuffle. "Colorblind" began to play. They sat their listening for a little while. "This is kind of depressing." Jayden said. "Reminds me too much of Armani right now, maybe we should listen to something more upbeat." she suggested. "What about "Little Things" by baby Annie Leblanc?" Annie tried to protest but before she knew they were all dancing aorund to the chorus. "singing every word, IN HARMONY!!" they all sung. "The best things in life are free, especiallyyyyyyy the little things, the little thiiiiings!" Jayden sung. Annie laughed. "Okay Kenzie's turn now." Kenzie covered her face. "Oh no." She expected them to play "Breathe" or "Nothing On Us", but what she heard was 1000 times worse. The eerily familiar music started playing. Kenzie's eyes widened as she heard a high-pitched, 10 year old version of herself singing the top track off of her debut album. "Giiiiiiirll Partaaaayyyy" Jayden sang along. Kenzie buried her face in her hands. "This song is so bad guys." Kenzie said. "It's so cute!" Annie said. After the song was over, they put on songs from old DCOMs and danced around to them. They sang out loud and talked a little more. Kenzie pulled out her phone to take some pictures, as she turned on her phone she realized how late it was getting. "Woah guys it's almost 6, after we take these we should start heading back. "Sure thing, I'll just text my mom." Jayden said. As they agthered up their stuff and began to head back, Kenzie posted one of their pictures to their Instagram.

When they got to the edge of the forest where they started, they all said goodbye to eachother. "That was really fun guys." Annie said. "Ya, we definetely have to do it again." Kenzie smiled at them. "awww I wish I could hug you guys." she complained. "Well, maybe in a few weeks." Jayden suggested. "Hopefully." she replied. Then they all got intot heir won cars and went home.
