Where Am I? Where Have I Been?

Hello again! The picture above comes from Jeff Garvin's Symptoms of Being Human  which features a genderfluid protagonist. (still haven't read, fun fact)

Okie Dokie...well; I do not have the "typical" trans narrative. (If there is one out there.) I didn't start reassessing my gender until I was about 13. Truth be told, it's one of my largest insecurities (discussed further in a later chapter.)

I'll never forget my good friend Lilly who was really the first person I confided with about this. They were super supportive and continue to help me through my gender adventures.

I gradually latched onto the thought of "I'm a boy" because I knew I wasn't 100% girl. What's the "opposite" of a girl? Boy!

So, I rode along with that for a good 2 years, but "boy" didn't seem to cut what I was feeling. So, with many friends' help, I am still exploring the non-binary label. (More about labels later.) For now, I feel like that's where I seem to fit.

(For me, and perhaps you) it has been a long, aggravating, joyous, terrifying adventure which I (and perhaps we) are still embarking on.

I went from a trans boy to now a genderfluid/agender individual. I'm loving myself more and am learning to cope with how much power I let labels have over me.
